TUSCALOOSA | University of Alabama wide receiver DeAndrew White has been hospitalized with an apparent concussion following an altercation on University Boulevard early Thursday morning, a source close to the situation has confirmed to Tidesports.com.

White is not seriously injured, according to the source. An incident involving a discharged firearm drew police to the area early Thursday morning, but it is not known if White was involved in that incident. According to the source, there were two separate altercations on the area known as the "Strip" at the time.

Police have two suspects in custody regarding the shots fired.

I'm certain that the injury was incurred after White jumped into the line of fire to take a bullet for whoever was being shot, and tackling the gunman for the safety of all.

Or it was found out it that it was White's parents who broke the crystal football.

Update.

TideSports.com has always strived for accuracy in its reporting and hopes to keep the trust of the Tide faithful in presenting the news.  In our effort to do so, occasionally we must correct something that was erroneously reported to our readers.  After further investigation of the alleged incident involving Crimson Tide receiver, DeAndrew White, it never happened.  We are sorry for any problems our story may have caused.

This video is from the scene last night.  It was shot by some frat boy douche and he didn't have the presence of mind to hold the camera the right way.

Some thugs from Auburn must have been in T-town. Probably trying to sell weed to those sweet boys that play for bama.

Talk about it in Talk of Champions
TUSCALOOSA | University of Alabama wide receiver DeAndrew White has been hospitalized with an apparent concussion following an altercation on University Boulevard early Thursday morning, a source close to the situation has confirmed to Tidesports.com.

White is not seriously injured, according to the source.

Another man was found unconscious with severe head injuries a block away. Police aren't sure whether the cases are related or how that man was injured, but the source said there were two separate incidents on the Strip.

Tuscaloosa and University Police initially responded to the 1200 block of University Boulevard at 2:10 a.m., just after bars closed, on a report of shots fired, said Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit commander Capt. Loyd Baker.

No weapons were involved in the fight. The people who fired the shots were not involved, and said that they fired shots into the air to disperse the crowd. Police arrested Ryan Javaris Hamilton, 22, and Quamayne Rakesh Tolbert, 22. They were charged with reckless endangerment.

The second man, 31, was found lying unconscious on the sidewalk a block away, in the 1300 block of University Boulevard, with severe head injuries.
Neither man's injuries resulted from the shots that were fired, Baker said.

So if this truly is a coincidence these two incidents happened at the same time, but are completely unrelated, then the bar district in Tuscaloosa is more dangerous than South Central L.A.

but the source said there were two separate incidents on the Strip.

That doesn't mean that the two injured men weren't part of the same incident.

So double  :fu: :fu:

Chad also posed it as a hypothesis as in "if" these two things are unrelated "then".  He never declared that they were unrelated.

So yesterday, I'm getting my mandatory 10 minutes of Finedong as I leave work.  The second caller is someone called "Big L" or something like that.  He asked PF if he knew about the Alabama player that got injured in a fight in the early morning hours on the strip. Paraphrasing: (Note: It's about 4:45..almost 3 hours into the show)

PF: Well...uh, yeah I had heard something about that.

Caller: Did you plan on bringing that up today?

PF: Well Big L, I just didn't bring my police blotter with me today.  There have been more important things to talk about today.

Caller: You'd have no problem talking about it if it were an Auburn player, would you?

PF: Yeah, I happen to have my Auburn police blotter right here.

Caller:  Yeah, but it wasn't an Auburn player, it was a Bama player.  Did you plan on even talking about it.

PF: **Click** Sure Big L, we'll be happy to talk about it...War Eagle.  Let's go to Carl in Arkansas.
