Getting reports of tornado touchdowns in/around the Huntsville area. Who all is up there? AU1 lives there. Just heard from him and he said shit is tore up. 2000, aren't you up that way?
We had one down this way yesterday but it just did some damage and stayed out in the country away from the city. And tomorrow is supposed to be the bad day.

Central Alabama is playing the role of Chicken Little and closing every school at 12:00 or 12:30. Right now, the sun is out and it looks and feels like a typical August day.

Yep, but we have had some winds take down trees this morning here. They do this with every threat of bad weather now.

I think the Enterprise tornado down here that killed, I believe 9 people at the high school a few years ago, has prompted this. If school systems even get a hint that severe weather is on the way, they try to get all the kids home a couple of hours prior. Saw a report that Carroll High in Ozark, just north of us, is currently building a new school and they have a safe area that they say short of being underground, will be the safest place in the entire city.
However, I don't care what you're in if an F5 makes a direct hit. You'd better be 20 feet underground or your ass is toast..

Y'all need to move away from 'em trailer parks. They're like magnets for torn'ators...

Technically the two wost states for trailer population in % are SC and New Mexico. Good thing not too many tornados hit NM.

AU1 sent me pics a bit ago of one passing about a mile north of his house. If I wasn't retarded, I'd post em'.

Watching a wall cloud trying to form a tornado in Cullman on the teevee.

We're OK. Lost power for a while, it hit Buckhorn HS which is about a mile from my house as the crow flies. Tore up the press box on the football field, damaged the roof, blew in a bunch of windows and destroyed some of the kids cars but thankfully no students hurt.
Some friends in Harvest said that some of the houses that were destroyed last April got hit again. Most of them were still unfinished.

A friend of mine's car at Buckhorn.
