Title: Off Season Blues
Post by: wesfau2 on February 24, 2012, 11:45:59 AM
I need to fill the void between A-Day and fall practice.

Does anyone know of a good resource for archived AU games?  I envision a few simulated gamedays on spring/summer Saturdays in my future.  You know, training of sorts.

I'd prefer games in HD, but will make do with most any quality that's not betamax.

Watch a basketball game.  Go to a swim meet.  Listen to a baseball game.

Watch a basketball game.  Go to a swim meet.  Listen to a baseball game.

Pass on all of that, thanks.

Will watch AU bball only if I stumble across it on the teevees.  Will not plan my schedule around it.

Attending a swim meet is a poor allocation of scarce resources for me.  The benefit does not equal the cost of travel.

Baseball?  Fuck me, I'd rather drive nails through my feet.  Worst game in the world.  I'd rather watch a curling match.  It's a sorry commentary on the state of your game when televised golf has been made a more compelling broadcast sport.

If you had a son, you could take him to gymnastics.

This really is the most shitastic time for sports viewing. Auburn is painful to watch, even if they win and college basketball in general won't be compelling at all until the tourneys start and I have my solid gold lock winning bracket filled out.  Unlike Weskie, I'm a huge baseballz fan.  I'll even watch at least part of a spring training game to see who has what.  But right now, there's not even that.

Come down to SFL hang out with me at Vic's.  Terra wanted you bad...she was asking for it.

:)

It is about 82 degrees and sunny out right now, not a cloud in the sky.

We can go out on the boat, check out the honey's with the light eyes.

I like baseball.

Wish I lived close enough to AU to go to a couple of games a week.  Would never pay, just set up a grill on the wall down the left field side and listen while I sat around.  It's awesome.

The weather is definitely drawing me back.

Baseball and Boxing are what gets me through.  Boxing for me is right behind fooseball.   HBO and Showtime are a must and there are some good fights coming up in the near future.

Baseball is too slow, and played by guys that have to prove their manhood by posturing like a Banty Rooster rather with their play, not to mention the stupid uniform and hat styles now, and boxing is just too damned cheesy and corrupt.

Do you have a subscription?  Can you get me in there? I have been trying for a year and a half.

I do.

Now that you mention it, I think they may have stopped accepting new membership. I'll see what I can do.
