Title: A comparison
Post by: Kaos on January 08, 2012, 11:26:45 PM
For those of you who dismiss the claims of media bias, here's a little snippet for you.

On the night before the BCS game here is the front page of al.com from 2011 and 2012.

Fucking pathetic.

I take that as a "it's sore".

And yet still won the THE MOST WATCHED, MOST ANTICIPATED National Championship in the History of the NCAA...Yet, you wouldn't really know about it since the State media seemed to be thinking more about snowy weather...again, fuck all of the bammers.

Why does the countdown say -364 days?  Looks like something that would occur to the automated counter if it had been left up the day after the game, not on the eve before?

Because it was taken from Wayback Machine Internet Archive.  It's actually a live and active representation of the page as it was on that date.

The script that was generating the timer is still running, therefore it shows that the event happened back when.   Five years from now it will show a different number.  As it will five minutes from now.

This link is for 01.09.2011.

Here's the view from the morning of the game:

It's a little closer to what you've seen on al.com for the last eight days.
