“It’s definitely not a fun place to be, I can assure you. It’s the first time I’ve ever been around extremely selfish individuals. And I think that’s maybe the nature of the NFL. But there were people within our locker room that didn’t care whether we won or lost as long as they got theirs, they had a good game individually. And that’s the disappointing thing.” - Greg McElroy

So he's saying he's planning on coaching high school football somewhere in Alabama next year?
-
Seriously. Who gives a fuck what the fifth string waterboy thinks?
What did he do to help win? Maybe Rex will cut his ass.
-
ryan clark of the Steelers has his opinion:
@ RealRClark25 Who cares about GregMcElroy ! He wasn't even good at Alabama. Why do we care what he says? Isn't he 3rd string? Who's his dad again
-
Lulz. I guess he wanted to get cut.
-
Ryan Clark better recognize that McElroy is a regular guest on THE MOTHAFUGGIN PAUL FINEBAUM SHOW. That right there is worth ten talk-out-yo-ass points.
But seriously, McElroy's probably ready to become the next Jay Barker. More seriously - B'ham residents who desire sports talk on the radio will have to listen to that rich douche spout off every morning about how great the Tide is while insinuating that Auburn is a bunch of worthless cheaters.

How the hell would he know. He doesn't even remember the end of the 2010 Iron Bowl...

The reality of McElroy's perception:
"It really wasn't fun being part of the Jets this year. I've had things handed to me my entire life. Gift wrapped in gold. But not here. Not with this selfish organization. When I got to the Jets, they were like, 'here, hold this clipboard.' They even told me - the Greg McElroy - to signal in plays to Sanchez. How selfish is that guy? And the others in the meetings, man. They kept saying things like, 'what can we do to get more yards?' And things like, 'what can I do to score more touchdowns?' It's like they didn't even care about winning. Just wanted more stats. Such a disappointing year."

I'm going to differ with you here. He told the truth. But he broke a code. Worse, he broke it as a clipboard toting rookie, but he told the truth. Even some of the NFL, and xNFL guys tearing him up admitted this. I agree with them, he should have kept his yap shut...he's done in the NFL. Fact is, telling the truth about such things is far more damaging to one's career or well being than making shit up.
