When Mosely went down, I really thought Frazier was in to stay.  Surprised to see Trotter back in the game.  Auburn winning the turnover battle early.

They have an eternity to find a receiver. Be interesting to see how we match scores without our running game.

Big East Officials apparently don't know how to call a facemask penalty. I've counted 3 and one obvious holding penalty on Morgan Moses against Lemonier on two occasions...but yet, we have a DB bump a receiver away from the play (15 yard Personal Foul).

I'm liking Virgina's OC, maybe this is his audition.

Veteran line provides time for Rocco but their run game is poor.

This will probably be McCalleb's "Swan Song".

Do they have a "fastest man to the sideline" position in the CFL?

Never have understood the fan hate for McCaleb, who has 113 yards on 9 carries, 1 TD, and 2 reception for 53 yards and 1 TD.

Good point! How electric could OMac be if he only went against the grain every so often?

War Damn Eagle!!!  That was the Trotter that we saw the first few games of the year.  Pleased with everything except the fact that we let another QB have a career day against us.

I'm thankful to see the Malzahn offense of old one more time and tired of QB roulette. Very proud of special teams and OMac's performance. WDE!

Yeah, we need a true DC and DB Coach...maybe it's the same coach, I don't really care, I just want a coach that can mold these young kids into something that they aren't right now. I'm tired of seeing Auburn bring pressure only to have the DBs playing 5-10 yards off their guy, leaving him wide ass open.

I'm of the mind that LB is an extreme weakness on this team, not that we don't get great effort, it's just that we seem to be outmatched and out of sorts there which puts more pressure on the kids behind them to do so much more. I get pissed when I count the slot receiver types we have with this deficit at LB. And we seem bent on bringing in 195 pounders and when a kid reaches 240 he is immediately thought of as a DE type. WTF does it matter as long as they can play the position?

It seems as if we go into Nickel & Dime formations a lot, I hate the fuckin' Tampa 2...it's horrible against the power run game, unless you have a DL like LSU, UGA or uat...the SEC is a power running game conference. I say, beef up the DL & LBers play in a true 4-3, let the DBs cover the WRs (man coverage perferably) and be fuckin' aggressive in the Defensive play calling.

I really don't like running the ball. Wish I could throw it. Whatever gets us a win though #wde

That's how you call on offensive game plan. Where the fuck were the swing passes to McCalebb earlier this year? Or is Moseley that bad.

I am totally perplexed by our QB situation.

Really don't understand him not having a more significant role. I am happy we won, but I don't get the QB sitrep.

Can Frazier play H-back?... cause I'm sick of Lutz having to seal block on the edge. Patrick reported at the half that in convos with Gus that Frazier is the heir apparent "no doubt" with a spring under his belt. We don't want the kid to sport a 2.9 YPC in the SEC either. I guess the question is: Can Kiehl throw a football under gamelike pressure? And more importantly, when are/were we supposed to witness the unveiling.

And with the exception of the verbal commitment of Zeke Pike, bravado and all, we have created doubt in the minds of future signees by virtue of our wishywashy treatment of our signal callers. Enough! Frazier knows the spread offense according to EVERYONE that ever saw him play. I actually saw video of him throwing forward passes. Something wreaks in Denmark.

We are no closer to having a QB in 2012 than we were in 2011 thanks to the Chick-Fil-a showing of one Barrett Trotter. And he saved the day.
Anyway, WDE and HNY fellow Xers.

That was the offensive performance I had expected to see against Alabama. Guys were actually going out there executing, and playing on all cylinders. Totally night and day offensively from the Iron Bowl. AU's run defense was much improved, but nothing really changed as far as pass defense.

Good win for AU. The offense made the game very entertaining. I wouldn't have minded AU hanging 100 on VA. Their guys were acting like punks for the last quarter or so of the game.

Yeah, bammer's Def. had little to do with it, it was all shitty play calling on Gus' part.

I expected AU to throw everything and the kitchen sink at Alabama, as it appears they did (quite successfully) against VA. I don't know that it would have been successful against Alabama, but it sure is fun to watch.

I assure you that had Moseley not gotten hurt, we would have seen the same monkeys trying to fuck the same doorknob and UVA would have won 27-10 or something like that.

I had it 24-16.

UVA would have skull fucked us and broken our will.  We would have finished with eleventy-eight three and outs.

Some would also be blaming "shitty play calling" being the cause too.  Nobody would mention Trotter.  Amazing how when you have a few healthy weapons that you suddenly become a better coach and "play caller".

I watched the game in a buzzed state on Saturday, so here is my not so professional opinion.

Mosley can run the scout team from now on.  I don't care if he ever sees the field again.  He is scared out there.

Trotter played like he had something to prove.  He hit Blake in the gut on a first down that was dropped, hit Lutz who dropped that would have been a TD or real damn close and Fulse missed an easy pitch and catch that should have been a TD.  11/18 for 175 with a TD.  Should have been 14/18, with at least 15 to 25 more yards and 2 TD's.  Fraizer still looks a little timid, and maybe it's b/c he looks so awkward running to me, but I think he still isn't use to the speed of the game and that will come with time.  Hopefully......

WR's.....Blake is awesome.  Please come back.  Lutz dropped two that is unlike him.  Reed, Bray and Stallworth needs to step it up.

Our running game was good.  Mason, 64 on 9 carries.  He hits the hole with bad intentions.  OMac played like a man trying to improve his draft status.  Hell, even slow ass Trotter had 5 carries for 32 yards.   We showed that we could get it done without Dyer.  I stop short of saying we didn't miss or won't need him.  With Mason, Blakely, Robinson and Grant, we may not need him, but he will be missed.  Let's hope he does what is needed and gets his head on straight.

Our OLine played with a mean streak.  I liked it.  I saw guys still fighting after the whistle.  I saw Mosely looking for people to hit down field and that is something I haven't seen from them all year.  They allowed some pressure, but at least they weren't quitting.  Go back and watch some games this year and you will see that we didn't do that much at all.   Seriously could have been the best performance by them all year.

Our special teams made Beamer Ball look shameful.  They played lights out and I along with some others are eating our words we said about Boluware in 09.  Give that man a raise.

The D.....Oh our D.  We play great, get a punt, then come back to only have them go 60 yards at will and score.  Our DB's still get beat and can't get off blocks. Our LB's played good at times and piss poor at times. Once the line came on, the LB's were able to do their thing a little better. I thought the line was solid for most of the night once the game got rolling.  It struggled early, but came on strong.

I saw enough to make me believe that if he finish this class out strong, have another year of Yoxersice, and make the right hires that we will have what it takes to win 10 in 2012 and maybe, if Fraizer or Pike works out, we can make a run for Atlanta in 2013.   We have some talent.  We are young, need experience and need some strength.

I disagree with you on one thing. Quan Bray doesn't need to "step it up", he's just about already there as a True Freshman, no less. Dude is a Speed Demon ready to be unshackled, we just saw a glimpse of that speed during the bowl game. I'd be surprised if Emory or McCalebb come back.
