Much heat leaving RG3 off my Heisman ballot. Nice player- but SEC defenses would have eaten him alive. Haters get a clue.
:facepalm:
As if this dignifies a response, but yeah, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vandy, Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida, etc. were all defensive juggernauts. Trent's "Heisman moments" were against 2-10 Ole Miss, who got swept by the entire SEC plus BYU & LA Tech.
What a dipshit.

RG3 looked like a Tecmo Bowl QB against OU, Texas and TCU. All have decent defensives. TCU was the #1 D in the country the last 3 years. OU and Texas always have salty D's even if they were a little sub par by their standards this year. Against those 3 teams Baylor put up 45, 48 and 50 points respectively with 3 wins. Who did Bama put those kind of points on that was worth a crap? Trent's Heisman resume highlights? 200 yds on a BAD BAD Auburn D and a juke move against Ole Miss (worst team in the SEC).

Oh please people. Finebung is totally unbiased. He would never needlessly pimp a Bama player just to cater to his audience. This is merely an informed, completely objective observation on his part.

Stiffarmtrophy says RG3 with ease, will win it. Theyve been right every single year.

So, bama will not only lose the BCSNCG, but they'll lose out on the Heisman. Ok you stat wizards, when was the last time that happened?

Of the 19 that voted Richardson first, how many do you think were either local media guys, or Bama graduates? Do they release that list?

I havent looked but it is supposed to be on that site. Its pretty public info like the polls.

Totally different topic, but I'd love to see a Heisman for both offensive and defensive players. To even get remotely recognized on defense, you have to have a Honey Badger-esque year.
On another note, I was worng about Ball. He actually did get an invite to NY. Deservedley so.

Last year. Oregon and James.

True dat, but I was referring to bama.

It doesn't, they just claim it anyway.
He was invited therefore he is a winner already.
There going to the BCS game (they lose) but someone in Alabama says there the best anyway. They claim it. (see 1942)

@TheAuburner Mark P
In 2011, only 3 of Utah's 2.9 million residents have more rushing TDs against Auburn's SEC defense than T. Richardson (the rest are tied).

It's not a surprise, but the hypocritical thing I see is him criticizing Saban for voting OSU #4 in an effort to manipulate the vote, then leaves RGIII completely off his ballot in an effort to contribute to a similar manipulation. GTFO.
