Title: Texas-Texas A&M
Post by: Townhallsavoy on November 24, 2011, 11:54:34 PM
Looks like Texas will take this one after a Case McCoy scramble into field goal range.

But if you're watching, where do you rank the "unnecessary roughness" penalty on the list of historically bad calls?

If you missed it, the refs essentially threw a flag because the Aggie DB could have blown up the wide receiver but he pulled up and barely nudged the guy.

**Oh.  The call was made on the final drive when Texas A&M was tossing Texas around like a ragdoll to finish the game.  Shitty call is called and Texas hits a big play.  Fuck football.

That call was total bullshit.

I have to admit.  This game has possibly pissed me off more than any game I've watched in the last two seasons.  And I only watched half of it.

Texags is in meltdown right now. They are calling for the firing of Sherman and I agree after what he had to work with this year. But man that call was total BS.

Agree the call was terrible, but didn't you think the AU/UF no call was the wrong call?

Are these not essentially the same thing, except they called it here?

What AU/UF no call?

The punt return interference?

That was funny when they spotted her on camera.

"And that's uh, that's...we've been talking about Tannehill a good bit tonight and there's his girlfriend."
(Long silence.  Camera stays on her.  She smiles and waves.)
One play.
(Back to his girlfriend)
Second play.
(Back to his girlfriend)

Texas A&M scores touchdown to take lead.
(Camera shot of his girlfriend)

Texas drives down and kicks a field goal.
(Camera shot of his girlfriend)

One of the worst calls to possibly end one of the more historic rivalries in the country. LET THE PLAYERS PLAY THE GAME. As Craig James said, its football, there is hitting, its violent. This was possibly the last game of this rivalry, last drive of the game, inadvertant contact and the defender TRIED to slow down from full speed. From all he could tell, the guy had his arms reached out for the ball about to make a catch. He had to be prepared to make the hit. And a personal foul is called that dictates the outcome of the game? Total horseshit. A ref's call, not the players, decided this game. Like THS said, fuck foosballs.

Kaos and JR will be along shortly to analyze her feet.

They're ok.  Pretty neat for a college chic.  Lots of chics that age aren't in to "the details" yet, but she appears to keep them up ok

Her legs are way too skinny, can't stand "stick calves," and too much teeth showing, but I'd hit it anyway, because that's how I roll.

Yes.

I think if BOTH are not called, then it let's the players play to a certain extent since both were judgement calls. Moreso in the A&M game since it was the end of a 118 year rivalry and it was the last minute with Texas driving. On the replay you could tell that the defender was going to go for the hit had the WR caught the ball but then realized he didn't have the ball and tried to check up. Otherwise he would have leveled him. Just a bad call and a bad way to end that rivalry.

Yes.

I thought it was the right call.
