Don't know what happened specifically, or if the unbiased local media will report on it or not, but apparently the university president sent out a school-wide email about it, according to Twitter.

Another morning, another university wide e-mail that some frat at UA has done something racist. I don't know why that university bothers...

Look President Witt, we are in ALABAMA. Everyone's parents raised them to be racist and ignorant. Those Frat boys will always be that way.

The email states that the fight happened at the Delta Chi fraternity house and involved fraternity members and three black students from Alabama A&M University. The Alabama A&M students had been invited to the Delta Chi house by a fraternity member.
Witt's email said that while UAPD investigates, all activities at Delta Chi have been suspended until UA's Judicial Affairs department has completed a hearing into the incident. Witt also said that Delta Chi has been issued a student nonacademic misconduct citation.
"I am extremely disappointed that racially offensive language has once again been used on our campus," Witt said in the email, referring to three earlier racial incidents at the school within the past year. Twice, offensive drawings or racial epithets were chalked on UA sidewalks or buildings. And in February, UA student Justin Zimmerman reported that a student inside the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house called out, "Hey, n----r," and then "Come here, boy" as he walked past.
Witt's email said, "As an institution, through actions and conversations, we are working diligently to make sure that we create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
"I cannot emphasize strongly enough that these institutional efforts must be supported and reaffirmed through individual decisions that adhere to the highest and best standards of respect and civility.
"I want you to know that the University of Alabama strongly condemns this behavior, and we are responding to it quickly and strongly," Witt said.
