Is the only evidence that McQuery went to the police the email he sent to a friend?

If so, then I'm betting he did not in fact go to the police.

Agreed. I would think that would have been the first thing out of his mouth.

Forgive my non-lawyer type self, but shouldn't that be in the grand jury report?

I mean, if he went to the police, and didn't tell the grand jury that he went to the police, is that a crime?

I'm not sure how not telling the GJ you went to the police would be a crime.

Only if they asked him under oath if he went to the police and he said he didn't.

Either way, someone needs to probe into this.  Don't know if certain people have been pushing hard enough.

I think the people in the back have been pushing hard for this-the people in the front have stalled this at every turn-says it might be to painful.

Look people, be patient.  The information will come in spurts, but eventually we'll get to the bottom of it.

I was just wondering if he committed perjury.

A central Pennsylvania police chief says his department did not receive a report from then-Penn State graduate assistant Mike McQueary related to an allegation of child sexual abuse against former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky.

McQueary, now the Penn State wide receivers coach who was placed on administrative leave Friday, had told a friend in an email that in 2002 he stopped the alleged rape of a boy he thought to be about 10 years old and discussed the matter with police.
