I'm sure it's going to be a good football game, but the media hype has only lived up to its hypeness one time - USC-Texas in 2005.

Every other overhyped juggernaut-fest of football has been a dull let down.  And this one will probably be no different.

Considering how derisive the college football gods have been towards Auburn, Alabama will probably win by 30 points.  If the gods have officially ignored us, the game will probably be a boring, turnover-ridden 3-2 victory for the lucky field goal kicker.

The worst part about media hype?  3-2 won't be seen as the worst game of all time or a big let down much like the 2008 Miss St-Auburn game.  It'll be described - no matter what - as the epitome of defensive slugfest.

Any time Mississippi State is involved, it's pretty much always going to be classified as a let down.

I finally figured out who I'm pulling for in the November 5 game, characterized today by Tim Brando as "one of those that comes along maybe only once in a generation, like the Texas Arkansas game in the 60s"

I'm pulling for God.   To be technical, wrath of God is more like it.

Locusts. Fire in the sky. Flood. Hail. Comets. Thunderbolts. Plague.

Something epic.

I'm pulling for a dual Marshall-like tragedy on the way to the game.
