I didn't see the game nor hear anything definitive, but was this kid really ejected for this "illegal" hit?

I didn't start watching it until the 4th quarter, but the announcers were still talking about it then.  Of course, his replacement was the guy that caused and recovered the fumble that should have preserved them a win.

If that was the hit, those refs should be suspended for a game or three.

All ejections should be reviewed before being called. 

I could see how the ref's point of view may have led him to think the guy led with his head to get a kill shot.  The player, on the other hand, even threw his hands up to attempt a tackle and a pass break up. 

The booth could have determined the player's intent.  Not to mention, one head-to-head collision shouldn't be an ejection; a repeat offender I could understand.

It looked no worse than the hit Reed took last week.
