Apparently the bettors were somewhat impressed with Auburn's 2-0 start, in futures betting for the SEC they've moved down to 40 to 1. The line for the Iron Bowl also moved from +14 1/2 to +13 1/2. The change in futures odds certainly didn't come at the expense of 'bama, who is still +120 to win the SEC and +350 to win the BCS. In future games, there is kind of a funny triangle with 'bama favored over LSU by 6 1/2 and over Auburn by 13 1/2, but LSU is favored over Auburn by 14 1/2. Some of that could be explained by home field advantages, but still a quirky line.
In this week's games, I kind of like LSU at 3 1/2, and I'm starting to believe in Auburn at +3, it will be interesting to see what the money line is on that game. I think my favorite line this week is Ok St. at -13 1/2, but I'm really waiting to see what the total is for that game. Anything under 70 makes the over my favorite pick.
