Title: 30 Points of Ted Roof

Under Ted Roof, the Auburn defense has allowed at least 24 points scored in 19 of 28 games and 30-points in 12 of 28 games. You would have to go back 94 games, prior to his arrival for Auburn to give up 30-pts or more, 12 times.

Stolen from somewhere else.

We keep winning.

Or this really isn't Roof's fault.  Maybe it's Chizik's gameplan.

Not making excuses, but it would be interesting to see what the yards-per-play (and maybe points-per-play) are.  I would not expect an increase in plays-defended to be the sole cause, but it may temper the numbers a bit.

Under Ted Roof, the Auburn defense has prevented the opposing team from scoring more points than Auburn's offense in 23 of 28 games.  One would have to go back to 1957, 53 years prior to his arrival to find an Auburn Defensive Coordinator that won a National Championship (Hal Herring).

"In spite of" comes to mind.

"In spite of" comes to mind.

and that would be erroneous as CTR was and is part of the team and therefore part of the Championship...........

but that was not the point I was trying to make...............

If you look at the original post and look at what I posted, both are 100% factual.......there is no debate in those two posts.

The "spin" is different............................................"they" are always taking little jabs................I learned to ignore 'em a loooong time ago.

Others might try it.................and find that the world is a bit brighter and more enjoyable.

check your reading comprehension..........................never made any comment to the status of the defense.

try again, take a Valium,  goto hell, win the lottery..........your choice.  makes no difference to me.

 :bar:

ps:  considering who AU has on the front 7, the course of the game was not surprising to me....................maybe I just have not watched enough football over the years.......

This is my whole point...and I think Prowler's too. These guys are YOUNG and extremely inexperienced. These things can be corrected. If they are not, then heads will roll and I will be right there with the pitchfork. It's one game though. As someone said in the other thread, let's not burn the house down after one game. Last time I checked, our defense looked worse against Arky St than it did Oregon last year. I would rather not get bogged down in tin foil hat inferences like certain writers in Montgomery.
