BATON ROUGE -- LSU junior wide receiver Russell Shepard, expected to be a major weapon for the Tigers this season, will not play in the Tigers' season opener on Sept. 3 against No. 3 Oregon and will miss more games, LSU announced Thursday afternoon.

Yep.
I'm not sure how to take this though. I don't think we really have a shot at the SEC championship. I do think Alabama is the strongest team in the West. I did think LSU was the only chance to knock them off.

Arkansas was the other possibility. Losing Davis for the season didn't help them any.

Thats what I was thinking. The Hogs may still have someone to carry the rock though. This may make an easy road for bama.
