Title: D-Line
Post by: AUChizad on August 25, 2011, 01:48:09 PM
Looks pretty nasty, IMO. Saw where Pelton announced the starters.

DTs: Ken Carter & Jeffrey Whitaker (played in every game last year)
DEs: Nosa Eugae & Corey Lemonier (heard nothing but awesome things about both of these guys)

All 4 are sophomores, so 2012 & 2013 will be sick on the D-Line. All 4 played in the BCS Championship game.

Craig Sanders, Angelo Blackson, Dee Ford, Jamar Travis, Devaunte Sigler, & Gabe Wright, coming in to back them up.

I'm ready for football.

Not gonna lie, I worry about our depth a little.  I think that is a pretty solid starting lineup though.

Yep!  Depth will be an issue.  We're ok at DE, but thin at DT.  Starters solid though.

Depth will not be an issue on the interior.  Experience will.

If the coarches can get Blackson, Wright and Sigler significant time on the field early on, this will turn out to be a huge strength by mid season.

I hope so.  The reason the defense was deceptively good last year was our ability to take away the run, and stuff the middle.

Try and keep up.

Seriously haven't heard a word about him this fall.  To be honest I forgot about the guy.  Did his shoulder ever heal up?  Did he even practice this past spring?

I think he was the defensive MVP of the spring game.  I could be drunk...oh hell, yes I am...but I know he kicked as in the teh springs.

Elijah Craig.  The guy in the likker store said it wouldn't sell.  I got a 5th for $29.00. Good stuff.

Which Craig?  Small 12 or Single 18?   At "my" lick-her store, they can't hardly keep it on the shelf. Craig is pretty good stuff.

Get the 18 if you can find it.  I can rarely find it around here.  When I make a Frugal MacDoogal run in Nashville, I always get a couple of bottles.

Lol...you couldn't have known that the DL was going to be the weak link on Defense.  Some say that the linebackers played like crap, but if the line would've consistently gotten a push, then the backers wouldn't have a 300lb Samoan all up in their grill.

You guys need to get a Utah and Hawaii recruit pipeline and create an all-Samoan team. Nothing but Samoans allowed. They would be unstoppable!

We need to pursue a sponsorship with Spam. If we can get them onboard, we'll have every Samoan from Vanuatu to Guam to Honolulu locked down.
