But no. Nothing.

Don't count on any mysterious tapes in the new bingo vote buying trial to reveal anything about the NCAA investigation of Auburn University and Cam Newton.

The new bingo trial is set to begin as soon as October. Last week a mistrial was declared for seven defendants including Victoryland owner Milton McGregor. There had been rumors those secretly recorded FBI tapes may have incriminating evidence linking McGregor, a big Auburn Tiger's fan to allegations that someone paid Cecil Newton to get his son, Cam Newton, to play for Auburn University.

Today, Jim Parkman, the attorney for Slocomb Senator Harri Anne Smith, listened to all of the tapes in the bingo trial. Parkman says it's not there.

"I did hear all the rumors they just said. People even say I have a great source that has heard the tapes. There is no tapes I'm aware of. Never has been. I'd like for them to be. I'm an Alabama fan," Parkman said.

Also today, USA columnist Danny Sheridan refused to reveal the name of the person he says the NCAA is investigating as the one who paid Newton to attend Auburn. Sheridan was on the Paul Finebaum Radio Network. Sheridan says he feared being sued and being forced to reveal all of his sources.

I am an Alabama fan and a realist. I understand this fanbase believes I am bigfoot in those regards but I am and I hope no ill-will towards Auburn or any University. But if it makes you feel better y'all would not have won it all if'n it weren't for $cam Newton and the dirty player Nick Foley.
