All the smoke and shit is good, but I fail to see any relevance to NCAA rules when this involves former players who've exhausted or forgone their eligibility.

The fact that the uat Compliance Dept made up a Disassociation letter for March 31st and TTown Tom (the disassociated booster) is still associating himself and his business with the University and its former players and continuing to promote his business by using the disassociated University. It's more about the fake letter, than anything.

Having gear, memorabilia, and talking to former players doesn't equal "associated with the program". They can't confiscate his shit, and they can't tell him he can't talk to, fuck, blow, or feed former Tide players.
Stick to the good shit, there's enough here to create real smoke without having to resort to that shit.

THIS.
I don't get why people are having a hard time with this. Is someone going to have to draw up some diagrams in crayon for the Alabama fanbase and its guardian, the media?
Both letters are very clearly bullshit, CYA made up after the fact.
What did they dissociate him from? They're holding multiple University sanctioned events after this bullshit dissociation letter was released. Practically right up until the day the story went public. That's not smoke, that's fire.
The advertisements that feature current student athletes is not smoke, it's fire.
The signed jerseys in the window, after the cease & desist letter was sent, after the dissociation letter was sent, while the university hosted a sanctioned event on sight, is not smoke, it's fire.
Add to that the billows of smoke surrounding multiple pictures of Al-Betar taking kids out to dinner, testimony from Colin Wells that this is a common occurance, Ingram being photographed signing a pile of 30 or so jerseys (and was also photographed having dinner alone with Al-Betar), Julio's 16+ suits, Mt. Cody authenticating his autographed picture that Al-Betar just sold to a customer, Ingram getting fitted for his Heisman suit, along with pictures of him holding a framed set of his game worn gloves with an autographed picture, tons of players hanging out in Al-Betar's office, coaches hanging out in the store, Alabama saying he's not a booster and yet there are tons of pictures of him with sideline passes and hanging out in the sky box with Joe Namath and Mal Moore, smoking hookahs & going out to eat with Mt. Cody, the kiosk selling these autographs right outside the store....
What the fuck exactly is it going to take?
Those things do not require the same leap in logic that "MSU offered Cecil Newton money, so since he went to Auburn he had to have been paid by Auburn" does. Not even close.
And yet, "Auburn paid Cecil Newton" is accepted as fact by the media and national college football fans.
And everyone just ignores this shit like it's no big deal? Like it may be a little smoke, but there's no real fire?
Bull fucking shit.

Well trying to get this across to the majority of the SPUAT fan base is a zero sum total.
Many still think fat Albert was a set up as well.

No one expects Alabama fans to buy it.
Video could emerge of a meeting with Saban, Mal Moore, and numerous boosters with Saban handing them bags of cash saying, "Go buy every recruit I want," and Alabama fans would still find a way to discredit it.
But I don't blame them that much. We're all delusional homers when it comes down to it.
What I want is some kind of real investigation. A real reported not named Brooks or Travis looking into this as fervently as they looked into Ohio State, USC, and Auburn.
I want some kind of hint that the NCAA is on this.
There's smoke. Who knows if there's fire? It could just be the shadiest activity in history from a non-booster who certainly looks like a booster.
And I'm starting to see Brooks's point. The NCAA isn't fair (we all know that), but this could be blatant.
Ohio State was in the clear until the FBI nailed the drug dealer providing the benefits.
Tressell would still have a job if the media hadn't gotten ahold of his infractions.
Just look at how the NCAA is letting the Ohio State athletic department off the hook. Obvious - blatantly obvious - lack of institutional control. Failure to monitor. All of that. And a few weeks of pleading, and the only guy to take the fall is Tressell.
They have to protect their big baby.
And now Alabama has a very similar issue coming out. A strange man bragging on his Facebook about his strange relationships with past and current players. The coaches support this guy. The university has supported this guy (sideline passes and box appearances). And now, very strange actions from the compliance department are being passed around.
The NCAA cherry picks their investigations, and it seems like they only investigate if the media pinpoints a major violation (Reggie Bush, Pryor and the Tat Five and Tressell, Cam Newton for 180k).
If the media exposes a shady situation that requires an extensive investigation to find out if wrong doing is actually there? Nah. Not going to bother with it.

According to McElroy, the autograph signing session was setup through his marketing people to benefit the foundation he created; it wasn't setup through UA, since McElroy was no longer part of the team. It has nothing to do with the disassociation, because UA did not arrange it or sanction it. Like I said when you posted this video before, it doesn't have anything to do with.....anything.

This is an interesting statement. I was a little surprised that the FBI shared that after somebody assured me that the FBI most certainly would not share something they found in a criminal investigation with the NCAA.

DERP.

As in busted. As in convicted. As in completed the investigation.

uat Officials were with Greg Mcelroy during the signing, they were with the handful of other players after this "disassociation". Like I said before there a a handful of other photos that'll being sanctions...on top of already being on for the past 17 YEARS, those sanctions are going to be just a little harsher than a two game suspension and rules education.

What are the names of the officials that were there with him?

Just you never mind about those irrelevant details. You're in trouble, Mister. Big trouble.

What did the fbi share w/ ncaa?

Not going to give you or anyone any names. 7 figure bet to prove that I'm right. There was a 7:10 minute video that got cut to 3:45 minutes, that video included Greg McElroy riding in a Limo to the TTown Signings along with a couple uat Athletic Dept people. It showed one of them on camera with TTown Tom and Greg. That was one of the first, if not the first, to get either edited or deleted from the TTown Facebook page. Melchoir has the full video and he has all of the photos that are now deleted.
