Well, Jim from Tuscaloosa is convinced the hammer is still coming to Auburn and that Danny Sheridan knows all and can do no wrong.  :taunt:

Recap?
Yeah I missed it too. I heard he stood up to callers but I was interested to know if he had added any new clues to the mystery.

He just stated anyone that wants to bet a 7 Figure bet that what he said is 100%, go ahead...LMAO!!!!  HE DIDN'T "SAY" ANYTHING.  He said that "if" the bagman decides to talk, that there's a chance something might come of this....and he'll take a Polygraph and put his money where his mouth is, LMAO.

I didn't hear it.

But from what I've read -

Sheridan said the NCAA is still looking for the bagman to come forward.  He doesn't think he will, so the case is going to be dropped.  But the NCAA knows who the bagman is, who the wealthy booster is, how much money was delivered, and where it went.  He then went on to say a witness is cooperating with the NCAA giving them all the info they need.

He also says he will reveal the name of the bagman in 3 weeks.

And if anyone doubts him, he's offering a bet.  You put up 7 figures.  He'll take a polygraph test to prove he isn't lying.

Oh and he thinks this case will go no where and most likely won't amount to anything.

Question for lawyers:

Let's say Sheridan goes back on Finebaum a few days before the start of the season and drops a name as the bagman.

Are there any laws to protect the person named if it's not true?  Could he sue Sheridan?

Sheridan better damn well have some evidence and KNOW it to be true if he drops a name.  Or, hell yeah, he could be sued.

Funny thing is, he's not talking about there being actual evidence, yet the case is likely to go nowhere?

His bet offer is bogus too.  Polygraph vs 5 figures?  Pffft.  Sheridan is playing the bammers at Finebaum's request.

^^^This doesn't reconcile with:

The NCAA knows who it is along with the wealthy booster and amount, yet the case will be dropped?

Oh my God.

BTW - a polygraph can be passed if one believes their own lies. Sociopath.

Well that answers the underlying question.

Sheridan will most likely tell Finebaum in secret.  They'll both act like it's not a surprise.  But it will never be said on the air.  Even when a caller drops the name, Finebaum will say he won't confirm or deny if the caller is correct.

Word will leak out onto message boards, and WoolyAl, TigerDroppings, AUGate, and Tidesports will go crazy about the bagman being revealed.  They'll find pictures of the guy.  Slander his family.  Post pictures from his Facebook.

He'll deny it.

Eventually a few reporters will want interviews with him.  And that's how his name will go national.

Thayer Evans or Pete Thamel.  Maybe Brooks.  Maybe Clay Travis.

Someone will write an article about the possible bagman being revealed.

All as the season starts.

My opinion on the timing:

Auburn has a nearly impossible stretch in October.  If the first four games are a flop, AU is in serious trouble.

Cause enough of a distraction, and you might get AU to slip up against Miss State and Clemson.

But then again, I'm going total black helicopters right now.

No you aren't. You are going off historical reference with the behavior of that other school up the road.

Short of the Facebook part, this is already happening.  A certain wide receiver from the Dye era has been targeted.

Isn't the big argument in favor of Sheridan that he isn't an oddsmaker?

Quote
For USA Today, he sets the daily odds on every sport along with political and esoteric odds – for example, will Alan Greenspan lower the interest rate, and if so, by how much?

Do oddsmakers set the daily odds on ever sport?

Not trying to flame or anything.  Just curious.

He flat out went on F'baum yesterday and said he was NOT an oddsmaker, but then goes on to say "trust me".  Fuck that guy.

How many national folks took him serious after yesterday?  Not fucking one.
