As sad as it is, that's actually not that bad by some standards. She could have had a daughter at 18 and her kid had one at 18 as well. But yeah, it is awful by most of ours.

I guess this would shock me more if I didn't already teach girls who have children at the age of 15 who have moms who also look like they had kids at 15, making them grandma's at 30.
