With two Heisman trophies, two national championships and one crazed fan, the biggest rivalry in college sports, Auburn vs. Alabama, has reached new heights in the last two years. This is the story of the history between the two programs, the bad blood between its fans and how this intense rivalry came to a pinnacle, just when they ended up needing each other most.

Looks like they'll attempt to timeline the vitriol up to the tornadoes when we all came together.

I wonder if it will still air after both programs are nuked by the NCAA.   :hammer:

Also, Fox 6 in B'ham will air classic Iron Bowls on Sunday afternoons (around noon IIRC) Up to the start of the season I think.  They started beginning of July I think.  Maybe 4 more to go.

Ok, found the schedule here:  http://www.myfoxal.com/story/14958757/classic-iron-bowl-football-games-to-air-on-sundays

Fuck you, Dennis Riddle.  My last game as an Auburn Student.

I was incredibly lucky in my time as an Auburn student. I saw the 2004 undefeated season AND never lost to bammer.

2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006.  41 wins in my 4 years.

I got the 93 team, but we were 2-3 against Bama ('92 - '96).  The scenic route through college.

yea I remember standing in the student section after the '93 game and making the mistake of saying "it was the happiest time in my life" with the now ex-wife standing there.

Shit went downhill from there.

Shit! This would have been good to know a couple of weeks ago.

I already have the 2005 & 2010 Iron Bowls video files. Have been dying for '89. '96 would have been nice too...

I think you mean '97.  The Scissum fumble, the Holmes kick.  The Fyffe Call, "It's good, it's good, it's good..  a mob scene!  It's not over yet, it's not over yet."

Ha, my brother's friend used to attend games with us, his soon to be ex wife, and future 2nd wife.

I broke up with the girl I was dating at halftime of that game, and I attribute the team's turn around in the 2nd half to her no longer being in my life.

Down 14-5, she had the nerve to ask me what was wrong.  What the fuck do you think is wrong, we're down at halftime.  "well, it's just a game."  "fuck you, I don't want to see you anymore."  So she left the game.  And Auburn wins.

My last year was also Bowden's. Wasn't much fun that fall. I just remember coming from a class one afternoon and seeing his resignation splattered all over the news.

I would also blame White's injury on her.

I was in college 2001 - 2004.

Started out with a shit loss to UA, then ended with three straight wins.  Also, my senior year we went undefeated.  I can live with that.

2001 .... 31-7 right?

That game was awful. That was only my second season sitting in my current alumni seats and I was surrounded by Bammers doing their Rammer Jammer shit. I think I remember one of their running backs going off in that game. I believe Zow did too.

Yeah...I tried to fight my way out of Auburn that night. I bowed up at every dude that said something...and that was a lot of dudes.

Yeah, it was awful. I usually would stick around and go downtown or to a tailgate spot after the games around this timeframe, but on that night, I distinctly remember going straight home. Pure awful.
