AUBURN, Alabama -- The trial of four former Auburn football players accused of armed robbery -- if it occurs -- won't happen until at least Oct. 31.
The cases have been pushed back to the next docket at the Lee County Circuit Court. (If that date sounds familiar, it's also accused tree-poisoner Harvey Updyke's tentative trial date).
A judge is scheduled to hear motions in the case on Sept. 9.
Online court records also indicate that attorneys for Shaun Kitchens have filed a request for Judge Chris Hughes to reconsider his ruling denying Kitchens' application for youthful offender status.
Walker refused to grant the status to Kitchens, Antonio Goodwin and Dakota Mosley. A fourth former player, Mike McNeil, was too old to be considered.
The four men were indicted in May on five counts of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree burglary and one count of third-degree theft of property. Mosley also faces a misdemeanor count of conspiracy to hinder business.
NOTE: An earlier version of this story incorrectly referenced the judge who ruled on the youthful offender requests.

What do you think the talking points will be on the local radio? Harvey Updyke and the trees? Auburn's felons and the state of the program?
