Dee Hart possibly tore his ACL.
He was a big part of the hype for next year as his speed on the outside was supposed to open things up in the middle.

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- University of Alabama freshman running back Dee Hart suffered a knee injury during informal 7-on-7 drills on Tuesday, according to BamaOnline.
Hart will have surgery Thursday and will be out for the season, according to TiderInsider.
Alabama athletics officials would not confirm the injury on Wednesday, but BamaOnline says it has confirmed it was an anterior cruiciate ligament injury.
Hart, a top recruit out of Orlando's Dr. Phillips High School, enrolled at Alabama for the spring semester and played in the A-Day game in April. As a high school senior, he scored a Florida record 50 touchdowns -- 40 rushing -- and ran for 2,218 yards on 252 carries. He scored two or more TDs in all but two of his games last

Shouldn't this be moved here?

Can they get a refund on the repairs they made to his high school?
-
You are now on the clock, Mr. Hart.

With his leg in a cast, who is going to move his stuff out of the dorm?
So it's Richardson and Lacey pretty much from here..or do they roll 8 deep? Seriously, I'd hate to have that happen to any of our RB's cause we roll like...2.4 deep at tailback.

We no longer tolerate Chopper jokes on this board...you have been warned.

Looking forward to seeing D. Hart in the UNA backfield.

Jalston Fowler.
They're all about him, but he's nothing to worry about.
If Trent or Lacy go down, they may be in some trouble.

I think JSU would have something to say about this.

With Hart out and Grant gone, that takes away the speed guys unless some of those guys I don't recognize are in the mix. They will definitely be a ground and pound team exclusively with Richardson at 224, Lacey at 220 and Fowler at 246.

Load the box. Focus on the inside. Lockdown corners and make AJ McPunyarms beat you.
That defense better be as good as advertised.

You think Corey Grant transferring stings just a little bit more now? (http://gbatemp.net/pix/183895/TrollFace.png)

I believe so but I would like RWS to answer this. I pretty much know his answer though.

It's as good as 1992, didn't you know? That was the best defense in the history of recorded mankind. One hundred eighteen NFL All Pros started on that defense. It was good, but not as good as this one.
AJ McBadTattoo just hast to be as good as Jay Barker, which means he can suck total ass.

This. Lots of it.
I'm not all that sold on AJ, so I was expecting to lean heavily on the running game. I really expected the offense to look alot like '08. But if Trent or Lacy go down, emphasis on Trent, things aren't gonna be pretty.

We haven't even begun to start practices, there'll be get hurt. I just hope it's not season ending like with Dee Hart's injury. Dee's main weapon was his speed, that torn ACL will take that weapon away for the rest of his career. That sucks for Mr. Hart. I'm guessing that Corey Grant is being really missed now, lmao. Off topic, maybe, Dr. Phillip's High had to forfeit all of their games last season, due to using ineligible players.

Never had an ACL injury so I am not sure how it will change his speed 4eva but I hope it does not. Corey Grant transferring really hurts now. We are down to 2.5 guys. Defense will be fine but really if we can win 10 games I feel like it will be a success.

Really? Got that bar set a little high don't you?

He said IF we win 10 games that will be a success. Hard to disagree with that. If you can get a 10 win season when losing your starting QB, your #1a running back, and Julio, I would call that a success.
The QB position is a pretty big question mark right now. But then again, it's not like the offense has depended on the play of an elite QB in recent years. I feel pretty good about the OL, which will help break in a new QB and make some holes for the running game. Losing Julio will hurt the run game some.
The defense better be as good as advertised. They showed some flashes last year, so I hope another offseason has helped them put it all together. The offense will need to lean on them some I think.

My point was that any team would consider 10 wins a success.

I thought of Kaos the other day as I listened to a caller to PF's show go on and on about how this D will be on par if not better than the 92' D.
I think RWS's take is pretty much spot on.

bamas D will be tested a lot this year and thats just in the SECW. Another thing to consider is that if an offense isn't scoring, the D can only last so long. I think us being Auburn fans can empathize with that.
I also think Auburns D will be even better than years past.

You'll be lucky to win 5 games.
