Title: Any Photo-Bombing Stories?
Post by: Snaggletiger on July 05, 2011, 03:22:34 PM
So yesterday morning, we're up at the lake for the annual 4th of July, too much family, too much food and too much drank celebration.  The wife's sister has her family there and they do love em' some photo ops.  Me and one brother in law are sitting on the pier watching them take turns by the water, snapping shots of each other....so I sez to him....why don't you be the gracious one and offer to take some family shots of them....and I'll be right here on the pier....behind them....you know, for support and all that.

So he goes down there and snaps family shot after family shot....with my very ample sized, white hairy ass in the background of every picture.  Worst thing is, we watched them review all the pics about 3 times each...without noticing.

They eventually did.....and claim payback will be hell.

Have you ever bombed anyone?

Of course it has been taken down and it wasn't meant to be a bomb but turned out that way.

The guidance counselor where my wife teaches was preggers last year.  Her husband took a picture of her lying on the couch with her belly, looking all miserable.  She was less than a week out and had a look on her face that was funny.....anywho, they have this huge mirror above the couch.  She thought it was a funny pic and posted it on teh bookfaces.  What she didn't notice was her hubby's reflection in the mirror from him taking the picture.  Him standing there in his glory.

It wasn't until about comment 20 or so on the photo that someone said something.   The comment said "Tell, Chris to turn the AC up, it must be cold in the house."  Which got the response, "I will, but I have been burning up these last few weeks."  Hilarity ensued for the next few hours until it was taken down.

Always...  Especially with people I don't know.  I usually walk up behind the group being photographed and do something that they won't catch until later.  I'll merge myself into the group, make a face, peek around a wall or just appear in the background with a cigar or drink.  It's great...

This past week, my son almost unintentionally bombed a couple of families.  If you've ever been to Seaside Florida, you know they have a big grassy ampitheater area where they do concerts etc.  Kids run and play in that area and my 10 year old was out there running with some kids he just met.  They're shooting nerf guns at each other when this lady comes up and starts gathering all these kids up for a photo on the side of the hill.  My son doesn't know any better.  He just knows that suddenly, all these kids he's been playing with are sitting down for this lady to take a picture.  There's about 10 kids.

My wife and I are watching this scenario unfold and she walks down there to the lady.  About that time, the lady is ready to snap the shot and backs away for a second and says, "Who is that kid?  Is he with us?"  We just fell out laughing at what could have happened.  All these wonderful family memories...with this strange kid that nobody knows who he is.

At Disney, some people were trying to take a pic of their large group of kids in front of a window where you could see fish and stuff underwater.  Spencer walked right in front of the group just as they snapped the picture.  I saw him and yelled "Spencer, come here!  Get out of the picture!"  He completely ignored me and stayed where he was, with the group between me and him.  Stayed where he was, that is, until the large group of kids was lined up again for a shot - then he walked right through the middle of it AGAIN... I apologized again, and the parents just laughed and said they would always look at the picture and think "there are the kids and Spencer!"

At least they were cool about it... plus my kid made the picture more awesome because he is so cute and all... they got lucky.
