Title: Anyone else think this is a bad idea? UNA moving to D-1AA then D-1

I just can't understand why they'd even bother. And don't say money. They don't have the money for that. Everyone knows it.

I'd blame Terry Bowden but I don't know how much influence he actually has there.

But I can't figure out the desire for teams like UNA or Western Kentucky or others to join a division they can't compete in.

They'll always get beaten to a pulp by the big boys and they have no chance at competing in a meaningful bowl game.

When they step up, bank on this...they'll have more support, and a better program than UAB. By a long shot. Troy, USA, and UNA will be better than UAB.

The only man with money and a brain on the board voted NO.....if he voted no then it wont make any money. And I am sure they were looking at him to foot a big chunk of that 1.4 million that UNA has to write a check for.
