So again, I'm flippin' channels and what do I come across? Third Saturday in October either 2007 or 2006. Bama vs. Tennessee. Watched the last quarter and a half because I don't care if it's June 15th and it was 101 degrees today. This was a chilly SEC Saturday with a classic match up.
I honestly couldn't recall who won so I'm watching it as if it's real time and hollering at the TV. "Damn it Meacham, catch the ball. Aaaaaa...Shula, you blew that challenge. Cost you a time out. Run Foster, you bitch. Phillip...come on Phillip..you know that orange vest makes you look even more like a damn pumpkin. Drop about 45 and maybe you'll qualify as a dreamsicle".
Game ended 16-13 UT. I know it's two rivals but it was fun watching names like Eric Ainge...Arian Foster...Redshirt Freshman 5'11" 255 Prince Hall...Nikita Stover....Robert Meachem.....ANOTHER Castille (Simeon)...ANOTHER Colquitt punting for Tennessee...Sara Jessica Parker Wilson...
God I love college football. Get Utah State's happy asses in here.

I watched the Auburn v. Kentucky game day before yesterday....I yelled at the tv the entire second half.
It was glorious.
-
If that as the game where they fumbled the ball going into the endzone and lost.....then what a wonderful game to watch!
-
Here's the thing. When I see old games on CSS or wherever, whether it's the SEC, Big 10...whoever...THAT'S what it's all about. I hate the hell out of talking about the Callaway rumors or Cecilgate or TattooPryorgate or laptops/fishing trips/Kenny Rogers/Chargers....
Damn it....it's all about an overcast, chilly Saturday...in Athens, Georgia..or Knoxville, Tennessee...or Tuscaloosa, Alabama...or a Baton Rouge Saturday night...or the #2 Auburn Tigers scrapping for their lives and being down 24-0 against the defending National Champions...
Fuck trying to bring the other man down. Let's line up ours against yours in front of 80,000 plus and play some football.

I've been watching the final drive of the BCS Title game on my iPad every Sunday night on my flight to Baltimore the past few weeks. It's impossible to have a bad week when you start it with something to beautiful.

You may be onto something here....Well other than owning an Ipad.

My personal favorite is the 2010 Iron Bowl. Hands down, the best football game ever. Every cliche you can think of is represented - win one for the Gipper, fight, fight, then pick yourself up and fight some more, it ain't over until the fat lady sings, never ever ever give up. It is the ending to every feel good sports movie ever made - the hero makes a passionate half time speech then leads his team to victory, the Miracle on Ice, the hail mary pass is caught, the desperation heave from half court goes in, tie game, two outs, full count, bottom of the ninth, last game of the World Series and the batter goes yard, the underdogs beat the bad guys in front of a hostile crowd...
BEST. GAME. EVER..

Completely agreed. When I have company over and I have it on, they inevitably want me to start it after the half. Um, no. We watch it all. The only way to really appreciate bama's death from a thousand razors.
Btdub, when this game was on demand, it wasn't Vern and the other dipshit....you got to hear Eli Gold and his other dipshit. They go from slobbering all over each other's knobs in the first half to very subdued...."touchdown Auburn" in the second.
Fucking awesome.

Eli Gold saying Touchdown Auburn make me moist

True...but Eli Gold only white man ever made me moist

Kicking their asses from first gun to last would have been fun, but not NEARLY as satisfying. Something about spotting them 24 points and then just fucking. them. up. makes me all giddy. I still get teary eyed from the end of that game, and probably always will.
Antoine Carter will forever be a hero to me. NEVER GIVE UP ON A PLAY.
Not to get all mushy and stuff, but this team, more than any other in a long time, showed me that they listened to what their coaches were teaching and internalized it and LIVED IT. NEVER GIVE UP ON A PLAY. How many times did they hear that in practice? But how many times does it ACTUALLY make a such a game changing difference in reality? That play was everything because AC never gave up.

I agree, but it sits differently with each player. To me NT gives up on the play, AC out runs him to the play and makes the play that turned the game around.
-
AC has a can-do attitude. A real go-getter.
-
I still like the play where Fairley stepped to the right then clobbered McElRoy causing him to fumble, then he grabbed the ginger homo by the throat as he was quickly helping himself up to recover the fumbled football...that no one saw except for Fairley and McElRoy, but since he was being choked out he couldn't yell "Fire". I fuckin' loved that game.

I KNOW what is gonna happen.
I have watched it a THOUSAND times.
And I STILL get butterflies in my stomach on that 4th and 3...
And I still throw my arms up in TOUCHDOWN on that pass to Lutzy.
WAR DAMN EAGLE.

Watched the 2004 SECCG against UT last night. Good times in Atlanta that weekend. That was the first time I had watched a replay on it and with all the big names of Caddy/Ronnie/Jason/Carlos....it was easy to forget that our O-line was bad azz as well with guys like Marcus McNeil, Ben Grubbs and Troy Reddick knocking people around. Gerald Riggs punked our D to the tune of about 170 yards but the offense was just way too much, racking up well over 500 yards.
-
Just watched the National Championship, and noticed that I was in the intro (barely). If you blink, you'll literally miss it.

2:00 mark. You pretty much have to pause it after that kid says "Hit 'Em High, Hit 'Em Low Stand Up And Yell". I had the game on my computer and could skip through frame-by-frame. We're in the bottom right corner.
I noticed because I spotted that that was our badass tailgating spot for the SEC Championship game, and then noticed we were down in that bottom corner.

Ronnie Brown trucking Jason Allen was one of my favorite AU Football moments.

So good they made a painting commemorating said trucking incident. I stare at it every time I go in Tiger Pride.

I stare at it several times a day when I look at the wall in my office. I also stare at "Punt Bama Punt" and "Eye of the Tiger" several times a day as well. :)

There's so many of those pics that I want but I can never pull the trigger and decide. Several versions depicting this season and the MNC and I want every single one of them.
So, I just go to the Mall a lot and stare.

THIS AGAIN.
Without AC, our season as we know it today doesn't exist.

Now, when it comes to this season, there are several I want and just haven't got. I can't decide. I know I want prints 1, 3 and 6 of the "All In" by Gamble.

I was about to post the same thing.
There is no doubt in my mind, that Auburn would have scored 35, 38, or maybe even 42, if they needed to to win that ball game. There is less doubt in my mind about that, than there is about if Auburn would have beat USC in 2004.
