Halfway through the second one right now.
There are no Julie's in the world.

Did you know she is also an Auburn grad - Bachelors and Masters? I emailed Correia to say thanks for making the crazy SOB in Book 1 a bammer fan, and he told me.

That's glorious!
I never saw him detail where she went in the first one. Just something about she had tried to get away from that life after the "Christmas party" by going back to college.
Think i should put that on some bama boards and get them flustered. The inevitable emails they will send would probably make into the next book somehow. Maybe it turns out the "elves" are bammer fans.

It's not in the books. But there was a vamp outbreak on campus and she took care of business.
I have read both books at least six or seven times each and every time I pick up on something new.
Here was one comment he made (again, I have yet to see it written in the books, but he says it is in there, so...)
As I’ve said before, I’m a note-taker and outliner. I like to have a detailed character sketch for all the majors. For example, I’ve got about a page on Owen, including tons of things that never enter into the books at all. These are the types of things to know about the character’s history to keep him consistent. On my main characters, I know what TV shows they watch, where they went to school, and what teams they’re fans of. None of that will probably end up in the story, but it helps me imagine them better.
Sometimes a little factoid of a main character will end up on the page. Julie Shackleford went to Auburn. Why? Because I said so. That ended up in the book, and apparently Auburn fans were pleased. Alabama fans were unreachable for comment because they were busy rolling my car over and setting it on fire.
And my reply:
Just now got around to reading the last several months of your blog – and this just cracked me up. Man, did you nail the fanbase stereotype or WHAT!!
Having Julie be an Auburn grad, especially with her crackpot dad being a bammer, totally makes the book for me. Both books are on my all time favorites list – I have already read Vendetta twice – but that just absolutely tops them off.
War Eagle!!

He's just jealous because we can both read.

Not sure. The whole "queen in the moo moo" pretty well sold me on the other.

Sani, they are just jealous. Only the cool kids are into MHI.
The rest of you should educate yourselves and join in the fun:
Monster Hunter International (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/monster-hunter-international-larry-correia/1030558926?ean=9781439132852&itm=1&usri=monster%2bhunter%2binternational)

I might read a sequel/spin-off entitled, "Hooker Hunter International," "Stripper Hunter International," or "Dump Truck."

You wound me
You have said in the past that you liked me, so that last statement implied I have no substance. I am devastated...
