Not that this is news but it's slow.  It's being reported that he resigned and received a buyout of just over $1.3 million.  How the hell do you "resign" voluntarily (Which we know he didn't) and get $1.3 mil???

Same way Tubs pocketed a king's ransom for "Resigning"?

Is Phillip Fulmer the logical choice to step in?

He was the most inept AD in the SEC by far. He made a good hire with Bruce Pearl, but it got ruined with the scandal that ensued.

Good hire, meaning at the time he hired him. The guy ran the SEC in BB for a couple of years, before he decided to lie.

Pearl was a fantastic hire. We all heard Lane Kiffin along with Pete Carroll in Pasadena. He's a damn smooth talker. He calmed things at once as Fulmer stepped down and hit the road recruiting and soon brought his Dad in as DC. How in the hell is Hamilton to know that this guy is going to be this unscrupulous with the old man on board. When I first heard of this hire, bolstered by his Dad and Orgeron in tow. I thought damn UT just got well in a hurry. But then it starts getting bizarre and for the life of me I can picture Hamilton cringing at the many times Kiffen showed his ass. I mean yes, in the wake of it all we must have a villian. And this villian should just leave this "severance pay" and walk away because he was the worst AD ever. Look at Mal Moore's track record. Gottfried, Franchione, Price, Shula, Richrod...I mean Saban.
