Title: Michael Flint Decommits
Post by: Townhallsavoy on June 06, 2011, 11:51:08 PM
I'm not sure why.  Anyone have a guess?

We didn't want him anyway.

Auburn's class in 2012 will be just fine despite the Flint decommitment.

Lot of questions about Flint and his decision. Put it like this, the two mutually agreed to part ways. We'll leave it at that.

$1 for a Donut that the bammers will point to Micheal Flint's decommit as a "sign"....LMAO.  I've heard that it had more to do with Auburn going in a direction, away from Flint.  I really liked Flint, but I'm thinking that this is possibly another Spencer Region situation (not Region's flip flopping, burning bridges ways) but more about Flint's demeanor on staying driven and not becoming a lazy slob (like myself).

I bet if we could sign over 25, he'd still be a commitment.

Nope, this has been in discussion between Auburn and Flint for about a month now.  Him saying that he "had a family thing or something", when asked why he didn't make it to BCW III, should've been a red flag.

No way man.  It's cuz the bingo trials are startin' up this week.  They's gon be droppin' like flies from this cruitin class once McGregor starts testifyin bout dem barner cruits winnin jackpots.  Malzhan shoulda gotten out while the gettin' wuz good.

Jumbo's "we didn't want him anyway" was funny. Prowler's "we didn't want him anyway" is sad.

I'm just glad we're culling all these "diamonds in the rough".  I'm sick of giving the slow kids a chance.  From this point on, nothing but 5 stars.

On al.com today, I read where he simply said he was going to go through the process of recruiting and take his visits.  However, Rivals doesn't even list Auburn in the 15 schools on his page.  Honestly, I'd not heard of the kid, and don't know if he's a huge loss or not.  He did commit in Oct, prior to us signing a huge, highly rated OL class for 2011.  He may be looking at his chances of playing or not.  Bammers will say this, as yet unranked player, knows the hammer is coming.
