Forget that, it was blessed with hookers and blow...........ah hell, who am I kidding, I am married and have a child, dreams of hookers and blow are long gone. I did have a pinch or two today though. I appreciate it. Does this mean I get a discount at CHOP?
Happy Happy! We want another beer thread.
We decided to go out tomorrow, so maybe then. Although I have grown fond of the landshark and may be reviewing a bourbon here in a few. I will need another glass to decide if it's worth reviewing.

Close, well not really, but Blue Sky and eating Chinese.....Blue Sky has one the greatest guitar work ever in my opinion. Duane and Dickey tore that song up.
Fun facts about that song, it was the first time Dickey Betts sang lead vocals on a song for the Allman Brothers, he wrote the song about his wife and then wrote Jessica about his daughter. Both played lead and rhythm and switched it up right past the time you can hear them synch up together. Duane the first solo and Dickey the 2nd. I might be a little bit of an Allman Brothers fan/freak if it's not obvious.

Blue Sky is actually my fav AB song. But I thought it was just Dickey, no? I thought Duane died before Eat a Peach and most of the big hits. I know he was on Whipping Post but you are right that the solo in the middle of Blue Sky is teh titz. Enjoy. Sounds like youre having a good time with that combo.

Duane died before it was released but it had already been mostly recorded in the studio. He played on Mountain Jam, One Way Out, Trouble No More, Stand Back, Blue Sky and Little Martha. Pretty sure that was the last album Oakley recorded on as well. Weird how they both died. eff you fate for taking them way too soon!
Another fun fact. Duane played slide and lead guitar (tracks 4 through 14) on Derek and the Dominos - Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs album.

Good factoid there at the end. Many don't know that. In fact, Duane has the main lead in Layla. Clapton said it was simple and easy to distinguish between the 2 in the song. If it's straight ripping, then its Clapton. If its slide and sounds twangy, its Duane. He also does his signature bird whistle towards the end before they go into the slow piano piece and right at the end of the slow piece as well during the fade out.
I like AB as well. Probably not to your degree, but I am probably more like that about Clapton as far as an obsession. So much I named my 2nd child after that song. Yes, Clapton is god.

I have read where Clapton once said he had to meet him and then after a concert they had an all night jam session and became friends from there. Both are on my list of the greatest ever.
