Two things I think-He talked while 'God save the queen" was playing, so she did not drink to the toast.
Or maybe cause he has bowed to every other leader-why not her?

He took a long pause in the wrong spot because the moron needed NOTE CARDS for a TOAST - and during that pause, the band thought he was finished, and started playing God Save The Queen - then instead of just shuting it down and looking less like a douche, he kept talking over that song, which is a HUGE no no and a serious show of disrespect - but we all know what an arrogant prick he is.
The president and the orchestra at Buckingham Palace this evening were a bit out of synch.
When the president toasted the Queen the orchestra misunderstood a pause and what seemed to be a cue from the president for “God Save the Queen†to begin playing.
“Ladies and gentlemen please stand with me and raise your glasses as I propose a toast,†the president said, putting down his note cards and grabbing his glass. “To her majesty the Queen.†SHOULD HAVE ENDED IT WITH THIS LINE, YOU STUPID SONUFABITCH
The president paused, the guests stood, and the orchestra prepared to play.
But the president wasn’t done speaking.“The vitality –“ the president said before the orchestra began.
Then the familiar tune – you might know it better as “My Country ‘Tis of Thee†– started up.
The president kept going: “ -- of the special relationship between our peoples and for the words of Shakespeare to this blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England,†the president said as the awkward moment played out.
The Queen looked ahead as the UK anthem played.
“To the Queen,†the president finally said.
He lifted his glass to her, she smiled a bit uncomfortably.
But because the song was playing, no one drank from his or her glass, including the president, who put his glass down on the table.Then once the song was over, everyone raised a glass.
It almost felt like one of those moments at the Academy Awards when the speech from the recipient for Best Original Screenplay goes on too long and the orchestra tries to hustle him or her off the stage.
Kind of weird.

Sort of agree... But, he has not acted appropriately in any of these Heads of State meetings. He's a complete dunce. As the President, you don't bow to other leaders. As the President, you're supposed to know your etiquette. These same know-it-all Leftist elites used to hammer on Bush during his awkward moments. The O'bama has been worse when it comes to disrespect. Disrespecting his office... Disrespecting our nation... Disrespecting other leaders... Disrespecting other countries...

Now I don't give a shit about royalty. BUT, when you go to their house, you should know their rules and customs. That mommy part comes over here, I don't give a shit if he throws a party like a block party back in da hood, serves BBQ and fried chicken, and the queen has to fish her own bottle of malt liquor out of a wash tub, but the prez looked like an idiot there.

As the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, you have fifty people whose ENTIRE JOB is to make sure protocol is followed. Hell, the whole STATE DEPARTMENT is geared for that. So either he has the most useless protocol department in the world, or he is too arrogant or too stupid to listen to them.
