I got blasted on another board for agreeing with some that he probably won't be seen at Auburn much in the future. My opinion is that he we mutually benefited from him being there and that now his priority is going to be making it in the NFL. Others were saying how they personally know him and how genuine an Auburn man he is. My point is that I believe that he played his heart out for Auburn, but he was only there for one semester, and people like Kodi Burns are the kind of Auburn Men that will be ambassadors for Auburn for a long time. Thoughts.

Not an Auburn fan but I feel like Kodi will be back. I gained so much respect for him and how he the QB situation last year and again this year. He is the team player we all dream of coaching. Not sure about Cam. He may be a little busy trying to turn the Panthers around.

I agree with this. Kodi is the elevated example of what an Auburn man and team player is about. Cam is gonna be a busy man. I do however believe Cams face will be seen on the sideline for certain games in the future. I certainly believe his experience this last year will draw him back to Auburn on many occasions.

The jumbotron introduces a special guest and moments later from the team tunnel out comes Cam on his scooter. JH would erupt!
Agree with NH and dj about the constraints on Cam and have nothing but respect for Burns.
Nice avatar BZ770.

If he's smart, and I think he is, he'll make Alabama his home, and profit off his name.

No doubt. Just the experience of a fan from the outside looking in tells me this. I could only imagine how Cam felt as the centerpiece and have people rally around him like everyone did; Auburn family that is. You think there will be a jump in the number of Carolina Panthers fans?

He intends to be global. Cam is done with this state. He'll show up at a couple of AU events to keep from looking like a total mercenary but I think it's safe to say we love him a lot more than he loves us.
Kodi should stick around, maybe. Is he articulate enough to get a radio gig?
But Cam? His plan is to be nationwide. Cali, NYC, limos and concrete ponds. He's gone, baby. Gone.

I should have been more clear. I was referring to Kodi sticking around.
Agree on Cam.

Three semesters. Not one.
Pisses me off that the bammer media starts saying something like this and before you know it, people repeat it without ever thinking about it.
He participated in spring practice and classes, summer workouts and classes, and the fall season and classes.

Doesn't change the basic dynamic. Cam's not going to be another Bo and carry Auburn with him where ever he goes. You won't see him on the sidelines in 2035 urging some young buck to break his records and win a 14th national champion ship in Gene Chizik's final season.
He's going to do Cam things.

Oh I don't disagree with that at all.
Was just making a point about how bammers have always subtly put things out there and kept repeating them until people take them for granted as the truth.

I think Cam wants to be Lebron James-esque.
He has the potential to be. Peyton Manning arm with Vick legs and Roethlisburger strength. If that shit ties together, he'll be the greatest football star of all time.
Too bad everyone in the NFL is on steroids and hell bent on stopping aspirations of that kind.

Finebaum chose Hershel Walker as his top college back over Bo and Earl Campbell when the question was asked Friday by a caller. Still if you were somehow able to manifest a means to measure one with the other and Bo gave a shit...game over Bo wins. Oh and for the record ol' Pawl is still expects the NCAA will eventually strip Cam of his accolades and Auburn of its championship without coming right out and saying it.
I think Bo and Cam are opposite individuals to the extreme. Hopefully Cam will view Auburn as his home of unyielding support after enduring all of the accusations. It's unlikely that Cam will ever shed the criticism even if he statistically joins the elite NFL QBs, with Super Bowl rings and league MVPs. He will always have his detractors. I want Cam Newton to make total asses of the haters and all of the so-called experts that slighted his ability to transition from college to pro. Simple barometer...if Cam Newton is on the field and smiling, the other team is doomed.
There was little doubt that Bo Jackson would be among the best NFL backs. To me, Bo was most impressive on the diamond. I grew to expect his bursts through the line, trucking a defender in a sprint to the goalline but my jaw always dropped when he chased down a drive or hit a 500 foot towering homer. Legendary!

Better RB?? Debatable.
Better Athlete?? Not even close.
I don't give 2 rats asses if Herschel is a UFC fighter and does 900 pushups a day at age 48. The measurables Bo put up in any sport he played were off the charts.
