Has anyone tried this running program?
I've always been a sissy when it comes to running, but I'm going to give this one a shot.

Y'all some fatties.
I did the first workout on Saturday. It really was easy until the very end. Doing the second workout today.

My wife and one of the neighbor ladies are thinking about something like this, I don't know if it's the exact one or not. I am at that point in my diet where I have hit the plateau and need something. I may look into this.

My COD Sniper is constantly running, he makes me tired...these Cheetos and beer taste so good.

My COD Sniper is constantly running,
Well maybe that's why you constantly get your ass kicked by 10 year olds. he should be sniping and not running.
-
I've perfected the couch portion of the workout. #winning
-
I've perfected the naked, sitting in the bean bag, eating cheetos part. It's one of the last phases.

Hey THS, are you still doing this program? My wife and I started yesterday. Session 1 was not bad. The first 3 weeks don't look too bad, after that it seems to get a little tougher.

That program is made for fatties and/or old people.

That program is made for fatties.
It is.
But it works.
Mark - I'm still on the program. Sort of. It was too easy for me, so during Week 2, I decided to up the workouts.
I went from struggling to jog 2 minutes to now jogging 1.1 miles around my block which includes a pretty steep hill. Takes me about 11 minutes.
I'm on week 5 now, and I'm going to go back to the Couch to 5k program. I'm going to focus on speed and also start really incorporating strength training along with it.
Stick with it. It works, and I feel ten times better than I did before I started.

This man speaks troof.
If people would make physical activity part of their lifestyle (not just a diet or a one time thing), programs like these wouldn't need to exist.

If people could think for themselves Obama wouldn't be president.
If people didn't reproduce with goats there would be no Bammer fans.
If people only bought what they needed they wouldn't have any debt.
If everyone was just like me the world would be a better place.

Got to call bullshit on this.
Week Three: "Jog, half mile in five minutes"
That's not jogging. That's fucking flat out running. Fuck that.

So you're telling me your're fat?

Running? Sure, if you're a giant tortoise.

Was about to say this, but then I thought about it. I haven't really ran since HS Cross Country, haven't had the need to. If I tried to jog half a mile now, it would be flat out running, but pretty sure if I got my fat ass into shape that I would be able to get to at least a 7 minute mile, but running seems harsh now. Unless something is trying to kill me, I don't see me doing more than fast walking.
I have lost 30lbs since March but I have had to do as GH has said, make some sort of exercise a part of daily life, which is usually walking 3 miles while pushing "mini-me" in his stroller everyday that I can and make the lifestyle change of eating better.

Not only am I fat, I have a couch.

Yeah, I'm certainly not one to preach about fitness; I haven't ran since intramural sports in college, and haven't worked out regularly in about a year and a half.
I don't necessarily know that I could get up and jog a half mile in five minutes right now, but in three weeks? Definitely a possibility. Not to be the dork who always pulls out statistics, numbers, and other shit, but the average walking pace is 2-3 miles per hour. At that rate, you'd walk a quarter of a mile in five minutes. Given that fact, a half mile in five minutes doesn't require that much speed to really qualify as "flat out running."
