Obama determined the administration has already proved bin Laden is dead, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said.
Proven? Because he said so? Interesting concept.
Can he please just tell me Bigfoot is alive and well in eastern Washington State? Because I'll accept that too.
There will be a growing skeptical movement that will claim one of the following:
1) Bin Laden has been dead for years and Obama is just grabbing political glory
2) Bin Laden was actually captured and is being held in a secret location where he is being tortured
3) Bin Laden was wounded and escaped
4) Bin Laden made a deal with the US and is providing information in exchange for asylum
"Because I said so" stopped working when I was 11.

Not real sure about the way this whole thing is being handled. Just read Obama's comments and I somewhat understand the reasoning. Despite U/Osama's death, we're still dealing with crazy people who don't need anymore reason to hate or attack us.
I'm still calling shenanigans on the whole buried at sea part of this.

I don't think I have too much issue with this. The way I see it, something like this would be way too much of a political risk to lie about. In all reality, if this is all some bullshit, Obama's political career is over. Period. I would imagine if Bin Laden really wasn't dead, Al Qaeda would be jumping up and down right now with all kinds of videos and who knows what that "proves" he is alive. While I don't know if I trust Obama entirely with alot of things, this is one thing that I really don't think he's going to bullshit about. It would be career suicide for him and his entire administration.
He's right on this one. We just don't need to spike the football. The conspiracy theorists are going to conspire anyway. Look at all of the theories about the government orchestrating 9/11. That shit was pretty clean, cut, and dried.
