Herm Edwards said you play him right away and if Cam leads 2 win Carolina to five victories in 2011 they ought to have a parade. I guess he knows what he's talking about.

Who's he coach for now?  He won 15 games in three years with Kansas City and also had a hand in drafting Brodie "Glass Bones" Croyle.  Then he was fired.

Yeah.  He's fucking brilliant.

Coaches, like everybody, have opinions.  I'm sure Edwards was  good at coaching something if he worked his way up.  And winning in the NFL isn't always a product of great coaching, nor is losing a product of bad coaching.  The worst NFL coach knows worlds more than the average fan about the mechanics of football.

That said, Edwards body of work is 54-74 regular season, and 2-4 post season.  He has only 4 of 8 seasons over .500, and the high water mark was 10-6 (twice) with a 1-2 record in the post season those 2 seasons.  Whatever value Herm Edwards has a a coach...it's not as a HC, and he's full of hot air, and his opinion as a commentator and analyst means less than jack squat.
