One of the things about Newton's history is people forget that this guy was one of the top recruits in the nation coming out of H.S. and wound up signing with the top program in the nation. It just so happened that as a freshman, he was playing behind the top player in the country. It amazes me that everyone thinks AU paid for him but he was just as hot a commodity coming out of H.S., if not hotter, than he was when he signed with AU. If Big Fig Newton is dirty now, he was dirty then too. If he was shopping the kid around now, wouldn't he have been doing it then? Weren't more teams on him out of H.S. than out of J.C.?

Speaking of...I only heard two callers to PF yesterday, one of which was this older guy who calls in occasionally to take lame jabs at AU. He said, Paawwl, you want to know the difference in Awbarn class and Alabama class? Logan Young paid tons of money fer a player and the Unahversity bans him from the program fer life. Pat Dye put Awbarn on probation and they name a field after him. Whatchu thank about that Paawwwl?

According to a bammer i know, it was helping serve food to volunteers. Hope he washed his hands before serving the food since he was picking his nose.
