Former Auburn quarterback Cam Newton is the overwhelming choice to be the first pick in Thursday's NFL draft, so much so that a $100 bet on him would net you only $50 in winnings should he be the first choice.

Based on the payoffs posted today, here are Bodog.com's odds of being the first pick:

Cam Newton 1-2
Marcell Dareus 3-2
Blaine Gabbert 10-1
Patrick Peterson 12-1

Here are the payoffs if you bet $100 on your player and he was picked first:
Cam Newton $50
Marcell Dareus $150
Blaine Gabbert $1,000
Patrick Peterson $1,200

Carolina has the first pick, but, just in case the pick is traded, the bets stand.

If you don't take a QB, you need to take those that fuck QBs up, and that's Fairley and Bowers.
I like Miller as a pass rusher and Dareus as a run stopper but not to affect a game like the two above.

Fairley and Bowers can take every other play off and impact a game more.

Reading the Birmingham News yesterday, I was informed that Dareus would be the first #1 overall pick from the crimpsum tahd. I was also informed that the only reason Pike chose Aubren was because his diddy played college ball with Ted Roof.

Not to mention bama already has their medical scholarship limit and ArKansas is rolling 5 deep.
