...to announce his commitment today at 1:30 CT. I think he is a heavy Auburn lean. Doesn't have a huge offer list but many describe him as the #1 TE in the country.
6-foot-7, 245lbs
40 - 4.7

He must have some smarts if Vandy is recruiting him.

Rivals lists a slightly bigger list. Still nothing super impressive.

Memphis, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Utah, etc.

6'7 245? Smart?
I like him. He may be a project and may not contribute until his junior year; however, anyone that tall and big can be molded into something useful.

Was thinking this as well. At TE we have Lutz for two more years, Fulse and Uzi from last years class. If that is not the plan then put some weight on him and put him on the line somewhere.

Makes sense because at 6'8" this guy is a tree.

Well I was at least thinking with these size of young Auburn fellas around, no wonder his sorry ass was hiding down by an undisclosed creek.

“We tried to get him to be an Alabama fan but it didn’t work,†Hutcherson’s mother, Rachel Heard said. “We bought him an Alabama jacket and he backed up to the heater and burned it up."
:aubie:
I love this kid!

Good feet, long span and an OT in the making.
Unless he and Pike are planned for bookend DEs.

I totally forgot about what I heard Jay Barker say Thursday morning.
He actually said - without even a giggle - that Auburn may make Zeke Pike a defensive end. Then, he went on to explain how a lot of guys go to other schools because they want to play a particular position and get spooked into thinking they'll be placed at another.
-
Sounds like Barker's helping in the negative recruiting.

Oh I might join the Jim Kelly was a LB in high school hoohah but there is no doubt Pike is a stud set for o and b stardom. I am impressed that he is an aggressive type built for contact with a young Roethlisbergery frame.
Coach M. could also stay around longer to run this offense to several natchel titles until he is offered something too overwhelmingly attractive to stay at Auburn, power of Dixieland bitches. I heard such coach utter what I detected as a stark comment about the cohesion of this staff driving it to victory in Glendale almost a sign that he could be developing deeper roots. (that's me getting all Bammerlike)
They's a buildin' statues of Heisman's at Auburn afore they even crack a book. I'm a wondrin' if Auburn Universty ain't switched to payin' them boys off in precious metals instead of devalued Americun dollars. They's somethin going on in west Ga and we gonna git to the bottom of it.
