Proud to say I never knew Sweaty Betty but I stumbled out of the Wagon Wheel there in San Clemente plenty of mornings at 0600, went and ate at the Waffle House a block down the street, and walked back into the Wagon Wheel and hour later when it reopened at 0700.

Sidebar I forgot to add to the story. The bar that Eastwood sleeps in and is in the movie "Heartbreak Ridge" is "The Wagon Wheel" I speak of.

There also were AA meetings held a half a block down the street from the Wagon Wheel. It was glorious to see that place fill up about nine every night which was 30 minutes after the AA meeting let out.
