The team will def look a lot different. There will have to be a large group of young'ns have to step up for sure. It looks as if Trotter will probably be the starting QB. I am actually expecting the D to be pretty good. We'll have a young LB corp and an experienced defensive backfield. I'm not overly concerned about the DL either. Most of those guys have plenty of playing time. Its the offense I have some concern. The OL loses lots of experience. I do think the guys can step up but man I really hope we keep Grimes. On the other hand, we still have play makers on offense and plenty of it that is young and yet to be utilized. Oh yeah, and we still have Malzahn.
-
I've never heard of half of these guys and the ones I do know are way past their prime.

Wow, kidding I hope?
Buzz is almost always never serious about what he's kidding about.
I had some back and forth with the woopiggers last night about the prospects for AU in 2011. Of course, Auburn is a 1 man...2 man at best team and will be lucky to get to 5 wins next season...and of course, with Arky winning it all.
People need to realize this team played a ton of guys this year and are far more talented than given credit for. I'll go out on a limb and say no, we won't for favored to win the west and more than likely won't. But you can't argue that Gus is a jeenyus and see what he did with ReTodd on the one hand....and say 5 wins at most on the other. Put together a decent line and get a QB to work his system and you have another dangerous team.

I expect Auburn will have some drop off. Talent is one thing, experience is another, and you can't replace that. Maybe it's just me, but some folks talk about Auburn dropping off a bit is unusual in college football, and the fucking piggie fans should know a thing or two about not winning them all ever, or winning them all every year. But then they been studying the bammer babble for dummies book, and will try and convince you that they got someone better than Mallet riding the pine ready to come in and light the scoreboard up. I hate to break the news to them, but they hit their top end this year with a BCS Bowl, and they couldn't even seal the deal there.

You need to watch more movies, my friend.

I watch plenty of movies. Gladiator movies.

You forget to mention Dyer & OMac returning. With possibly Calloway getting some snaps as well.
I see 2011 being a lot like 2010 South Carolina. We're gonna depend a lot on our young running back (Dyer). Trotter's style, and talent from how I gauge it, is pretty similar to that of Garcia. That team had 4-5 losses. They won their division, but that's a much taller order in the West, and I don't see us doing it next year. I'm convinced that will be LSU next year.

I don't really give a fuck about next year right now...

why hate 2012? armageddon?

You don't pwn anyone there. They have their take and there's zero reasoning with them. Don't really try. But, it's one hell of an entertaining board if you can look past the AU vitriol and absolute obsession with Houston Nuttz.

Calloway will end up at LB at AU.

Especially when we sign Crowell...

That was beautiful Buzz.
This is when the staff proves itself, when it's backs are against the wall. I said well into the season that I thought Chizik might really put an exclamation point on Jacob's choice by somehow squeezing out eight wins looking ahead. But just glancing at the list above has me wondering if it's possible to take a shot to the head without even realizing it.
Then again, engineers at Auburn might have developed a chip to artificially raise our expectations superceeding all of the sister phuking that Bamers engaged in over many generations to come to a similar annual conclusion at the open of each season, like a "Groundhog Day" syndrome of sorts.
I know the list above doesn't look too sporting on paper but I've been hearing dixieland bands and craving beignets every morning like clockwork ever since our team spotted the bastards 24 points and imploded the hopes and dreams of mulletts and she-mulletts throughout Tuscaloosa and beyond.
Still, I have no yearning as yet to build shrines or erect statues so it might just be a passing thing.

I wish we'd of had him a few years ago!

Well mark him off the list!

I wish we'd of had him a few years ago!
I wish we'd of had him two years ago.
We did.
Three years ago then.
-
I had to have a program in hand for the 1st half of this season to figure out all the guys on the field this year. We had a ton of new faces this year and it worked out pretty well. We may need a program next year for a while but I bet we do better than most think.
-
Probably need to add Adams to the list on Offense. I would be shocked if he comes back.

I would be more shocked if he leaves.
A) He'd better decide pretty damn quick. Today was the deadline.
B) He's going to be catching the ball far more often from Trotter, which will give him much more of a chance to shine. At the same time, a lot of the national perception is that "Cam was the whole team", and did this all by himself. He will have better stats next year with Trotter, and it will appear more impressive anyway to a lot of the "experts".

Gayden left the team. You might be thinking of AJ Greene.
QB add Kiehl Frazier
RB add Isaiah Crowell and Tre Mason or Savon Huggins
WR add Jaylon Denson
T add Christian Westerman
G add Ed Christian and Eric Mack
DE add Ray Drew
DT add Angelo Blackson
CB add Marcus Roberson and Jonathan Rose

Would you stake your reputation as a skreet urchin on all of these recruits coming on board at Auburn?

Not a chance on ALL of them. Ed Christian and Eric Mack, yes.

Good enuf bro...find us another RB and a vicious DT.

I think Prowler is on to something, just a tad nit. The only difference is if you add Crowell, you will subtract Huggins. Just sayin'.
-

Angelo Blackson is your vicious DT
I'll repeat what Jeffrey Lee stated, if Isaiah Crowell takes his final visit to Auburn, we'll have a real chance at landing him. I'd give it more than just a real chance.

Correct. I meant to put Isaiah Crowell, Savon Huggins or Marlin Lane and Tre Mason or Andrew Buie

I see where Richt offered Crowell's teamate and best friend in order to draw him towards Athens.

Sounds like a last ditch effort to me.

With it being 9pm, I take it Darvin Adams will remain at Auburn for his senior year.

Surprised, especially with him having kids.......I figured he was gone, I was wrong.

Well, once the kids were mentioned I started thinking there was a chance he would go. I'm really glad he didn't, most think he will have a monster year next year with Trotter at QB.

I guess we can't know where Adams is with his degree and he might have other ideas should the NFL be short-lived for him. And like you say he can up his stock with a strong season in 2011. I only know that he doesn't have the prototypical size or sprinter speed but he will run the slants, has very good hands, blocks well, knows when to help and comes through in the clutch to keep a drive going including several that absolutely saved the day in crunch time this year. Trotter hasn't taken many game snaps, and might not deliver the ball on the mark like we are used to but Darvin can make him look better. WDE!
-
Rivals is now reporting that apparently Darvin submitted his paperwork and the will enter the draft. JLee is still trying to get the scoop.

Damn, I can't believe nobody has reported this yet?
-
I think he has until Tuesday to back out, as long as he doesn't sign with an agent. On one hand, he has mouths to feed so I can see him going. On the other, he might get picked up in the later rounds, which means no signing bonus. Personally? I'd jump and know that my route running and clutch receiving skills will show the scouts that I'm pretty damn good, if given the chance.

Isaiah Crowell's friend and teammate, Quintavious Harrow, visited SPuat this weekend with him. He left saying that he's expecting an offer from them soon. So, a few weeks before National Signing Day a player gets an offer from UGA and is looking to get one from SPuat, those are his only two offers or supposed offers to date.
Apparently Harrow doesn't realize that SPuat doesn't have room for 10 of their commitments right now. And that if Crowell decides on one of the schools that didn't offer him, there's a really good possibility that his offer to those two schools isn't going to be there. No pressure Crowell, you just need to do this for yourself....and your friend.
