Basically it said Gus wants to be a HC some day when the time is right, but Vanderbilt's offer ain't it.

The skreets have released the conversation between Gus and Vandy:

Vandy - "What would it take Gus?  We're willing to offer 3 million dollars/year plus incentives."

Gus - "What would it take?  To win at Vandy?  Uh, well did you watch the SMU documentary?"

Vandy - "You're turning us down, aren't you?"

Gus - "Haha.  You're damn right I'm turning you down.  I'm surprised you had the balls to offer."

Vandy - "Grumble grumble grumble."

Source: Gus Malzahn to stay at Auburn

By Chris Low
ESPN.com

Vanderbilt made an aggressive push for Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, but Malzahn has decided to stay at Auburn, a source told ESPN.com.

Malzahn, in his second season at Auburn, had emerged as Vanderbilt's top target and was offered a lucrative financial package. After mulling it over for the last two days, Malzahn decided it was best he stay put.

The Tigers, who will play next month in the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game, are ranked sixth nationally in scoring offense and seventh nationally in total offense. They're averaging 42.7 points per game.

Malzahn has quickly gained the reputation as one of the most innovative offensive minds in the college game. He was named the Broyles Award winner this season as the top assistant coach in the country.

With Malzahn out of the picture, Maryland offensive coordinator James Franklin is thought to be the front-runner for the Vanderbilt head job.
Thayer Evans WRONG again.

I recommend a letter-writing campaign using this as yet another example of why he should be fired.

Yeah, probably putting one foot in front of the other.....wait, I take that back. He looks to be tripping all over himself nowadays.

Thayer Evans is completely wrong yet again. Says a lot for his "sources" and his credibility in verifying them as legitimate. Evans has been wrong about everything he has reported since I began following his career.

Fox Sports should be ashamed for continuing to employ such a writer with such a lack of integrity.

What can be inferred from this?

1) Thayer Evans's sources are full of shit.
2) Malzahn is not afraid of any "hammers" coming down on Auburn. He had a perfectly good lifeboat and didn't take it.

Hope nationally this impacts people's opinion on what went down...

A blowjob.
Head to the closest titty flop with an eight ball.  Walk out with prescribed head givers.

Over the counter and the newest version look like Mentos.  Cherry flavored but surprisingly tasty.

I love the wording:

Quote
Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn is no longer a candidate to become the next coach at Vanderbilt,  according to reports.

Malzahn would have replaced Robbie Caldwell, who resigned late last month after a 2-10 mark in his first and only season as head coach. Caldwell, then an assistant head coach, took over in July after Bobby Johnson abruptly retired after eight seasons with the Commodores.

"No longer a candidate" would be more accurate if Evans said, "Malzahn turns down Vanderbilt."

I've been guaranteeing a Top 10 recruiting class for most of the season.  Now I think it'll be more towards the Top 5.
