Title: Bama vs. LSU
Post by: RWS on November 06, 2010, 05:28:23 PM
Don't get me wrong, our defense is playing a pretty good game, but holy shit LSU has N O offense. With 1:10 left in the half, LSU had 2 first downs and 45 total offensive yards.  While we're talking about the last 1:10 of the half, WTF Les Miles? So, you decide you're going to try and punch in another score with 1:10 left starting at your own 5 yard line. You have 3 timeouts to accomplish this. Alabama is going to a total prevent defense for this drive. OK.

1. Your QBs are not good. At all. And you're going to try and drive 95 yards in a minute.

2. If your QB gets picked, you have basically hand delivered us another field goal, if not a pick 6.

3.  You get the ball back after halftime.

I just don't get the logic. You're going to force your team to try and be something it isn't in a hurry-up situation, and ask them to do it to the tune of 95 yards. Then, after all that, you go into halftime with nothing to show for it, and 2 timeouts still left on the board. If LSU wins this game, it will be despite their coaching, that's for sure.

He needs to spend less time talking shit, more time finding a receiver to cover when it's a pass.

Well it didn't take long for bama to score. I figured Jasper would miss another. Tight ballgame.

Saw that and it didn't surprise me any more than it would to see him eating from a jar of paste.

Jarret Lee and Reuben Randle deserve co-MVPs for this game.  Randle was in on the big TD and the drive-saving pitch and catch.

This Alabama team simply isn't mature enough to control it's own destiny. Good win, corndogs.

SPuat had a lot of trouble with Drake.....what 'til they get a load of Nick Fairley.

Btw, Coach belittle somewhat threw his players under the bus.  Saying that the team is too results oriented and that he teaches a bunch of stuff about stuff.  Basically saying that the players aren't dedicated to "his" philosophy of doing stuff the right way.

Also, I love watching CBS 42 after SPuat gets beat, Radice and Griffin are mad, LMFAO...I Fuckin' LOVE IT.  RWS don't be a stranger now that all of y'alls dreams have been dashed.

Go fuck yourself, Jesse. Or better yet, go fuck Urban. You were a shitty football player and a shitty bachelor.

Prowler, no matter what, you always say Saban is "throwing his players under the bus". Even after Saban said the USCe loss was the fault of the coaching staff, you made the same fucking comment. All Saban can do is coach these kids to do what they are supposed to do. He can't go out there and tackle a guy. He can't help it Dre Kirkpatrick blew his coverage. He can't help it that the team pretty much laid down and took it in the second half. That shit was visible. I mean, after watching Saban the past 3 years blowing up on punters and other players when up by 30+ points because they shanked a punt,  or some other insignificant mistake, do you really want me to think he teaches them anything other than finishing, and beating the shit out of the guy across from you? Especially when damn near every time the man speaks, he mentions it?

Oh, and don't worry. I won't be like you when you got punked on the whole uniform thing a few weeks ago and fall off the map for a week or so. I have surgery on Tuesday, so I might not be around for a few days. But it doesn't have shit to do with Alabama losing.

I love the script everybody, including Eli Gold seems to be reading from after a loss.

Eli: Did y'all just not execute?

Player: No, we had our opportunities, and didn't execute.

Eli: So what happened really?

(insert any player or coach): We were playing too goal oriented, and not process oriented.  We have been playing for a championship, not playing like champions.

And this goes on for the entire post game show.  Nothing ever said about how Miles or LSU really had a solid day, or game plan, and how they made things happen.

Sure he can, but it would just be a shoestring tackle (unless he decided to go high, then it would be an ankle tackle)

LSU has been looking at this game since spring/summer, and they certainly played like it in the second half. Did we shoot ourselves in the foot some and have some execution issues? Sure. But above all, LSU played well and just flat out beat us.

LSU players were wearing shirts during spring and summer camp that said "FOLLOW THE LEAD" with the "A" an Alabama script A. I'm trying to find the picture. That's where that reference came from.

Not only did Coach BeLittle throw the players under the bus, but he also threw "people on the outside" (fans and/or media) under the bus.  That's right, bammers, because of you expecting or wanting your team to be successful and win shampiunsheeps, that caused the players to lose focus and want the same thing....way to go.

I don't know what comment you are talking about specificaly, but in general, any of our fans that now think the sky is falling need to wake the fuck up. Like I said after the USCe loss, anybody who thought we would repeat and run the table this year is setting themselves up for a letdown. Much like you usually don't see the success we had last year with a new QB (or this year with AU/Newton), you just can't lose as much as we did on defense and run the table, much less repeat as national champs. Hell, UF couldn't even do it with Tebow. Pre-season, I figured at least 3 losses this season. So far, it looks like I'm on target.

Quote
"We have never really developed to be as good a team as we can be, and to be as good a team as we are capable of," Coach Nick Saban said. "For me as a coach, I have always talked about playing to a standard. I have always talked about being the best you can be. We're still going to work hard to get this team to be just that, and I think it will take a commitment on all the players' part."
Not exactly "throwing the players under the bus". I mean, if saying your team didn't play as well as they could have and it needs to be fixed is throwing your players under the bus, then any coach that has lost a game is doing it as well.

So, "pre-season, I figured AT LEAST 3 losses this season. So far, it looks like I'm on target", means watch out for MSU, GSU & AU? Gotcha.

Btw, wrong quote dumbass.  It's the quote about "people on the outside" expecting great things from this year's team and having high expectations and/or hopes of great things and how it's affected the players and caused them to not focus...then he went on to explain how or what he trys to teach them, basically saying "I try to teach them to not listen, but they still do and it's not my fault that a semi ra-tard punched us in the face and out coached the players."

You're the dumbass who hasn't even put the quote on here. I already said I don't know what specific quote you are talking about. If I had to guess, it had something to do with expectations and addressing the expectations of those outside the program that Alabama would run the table again. Just a guess. Please be for posting the quote. As far as that affecting the team? Who knows. Having ESPN do a special on your team can give you a little bit of the big head. So can being ranked #1 in the country. So can hearing from ESPN every 2 minutes about how good you are and how you will dominate everybody. Ever heard of a team "getting full of themselves"?

Yes, that's the gest of it, but I thought you just said you didn't know what was being talked about.  I guess you've become so accustomed to being thrown under the bus by your prick of a HC and hearing him constantly throw you favorite players under the bus, that you're immune to it.

The quote was in his presser following the game...I'm guessing wherever you pulled those other quotes from, they omitted the part where he throws the fanbase and the players under the bus.  And NO, not "every fucking coach in America" has blamed the fanbase for a loss.  Again, that's Coach BeLittle's MO.  The blame rest squarely on his tiny shoulders, but you'll never hear him take the blame for not having his team prepared, being outcoached by another coach, and out played....I'm sure you'll hear the quote on Fbaum on Monday.
