Nobody said there would be math, but here we go with the latest odds on winning the Bowl Championship Series Football National Championship of the World.

BCS trophy
Alabama and Auburn are two of five teams with single-digit odds of winning the whole thing. Oregon is a 17-10 favorite which, by my calculations, means if you bet $10 on the Ducks, you win 80 kabillion dollars, cash money.

17-10?

Odds to win the BCS title, from Bodog.com
Oregon     17-10
Alabama       3-1
Boise St.      4-1
Auburn        9-2
TCU            15-2
Nebraska    25-1
Utah           25-1
Ohio St.      30-1
Oklahoma   50-1
Wisconsin    55-1
LSU            100-1
Missouri     125-1
Mich. St.    150-1

Allow the king of fractions to break that down for you non-math majors.  :)

1. Oregon -  1.7/1
2. Alabama - 3/1
3. Boise -      4/1
4. Auburn -   4.5/1
5. TCU -        7.5/1

And the rest are pretty much irrelevant.

Looks good for us when you consider the idiots that will just vote for last year's winner, and the people that buy into ESPN's bullshit about Boise being unstoppable.

A lot of faith in Oregon though...

Weskie what were your odds when you bet at the beginning of the season?

9-2 is about what I expected.  And yeah 4-1 Bama. Oregon really is a heavy growing favorite that is destined to fail because they have so much media energy behind them. Enjoy your time in the sun Duckies.

65-1.

Laid $20 on it on a lark.

Now I'm wishing I'd dug a bit deeper.

Know a guy that collected on the Twins after their Series over the Braves. Big longshot!

1280 in profit wouldn't be bad, if won it would pretty close pay for the trip.  Course $6400 woulda been better.

Yeah, I was thinking that Glendale could be a freebie if this pays out.

Interesting that the bammer love hasn't subsided much.

They're still favored by 14 against MSU. They've only lost to us and LSU thus far.

I think this game is way closer.

Anyone know what the odds from the OP are?

How about the Iron Bowl? Are they still the Vegas favorites?

Speaking of odds/points..I heard the early week spreads this morning whcih had Auburn as an 8.5 favorite.  Seems like a little much for this series but gives this team props.  However, Bama was a 14 point favorite over a 7-2 MSU team that's playing pretty damn good.  14???
