AKA, Da Skreets.

This is cool I guess? Don't road teams get penalized for wearing home jerseys? I'm thinking of USC doing this against UCLA. If it's per Ole Miss's request is that negated? Why would Ole Miss do that?

Why would Ole Miss do that?
Because they are going to be wearing bear skin unis

(unless they don't)

If both teams agree to it before hand there is no penalty.

Vanderbilt used to always wear white at home when Woody Widenhofer was there.

EDIT

I had this wrong.  LSU used to wear white at home and still does when allowed to by the visiting team. Vanderbilt pissed them off by not agreeing to it one year in the 90's while Woody was there.

I think they prefer the white jerseys all the time, home or away due to the fact when they last won a national title under Paul Dietzel in '58 they had three teams; White Team (first team), Go Team (offense oriented ), and the Chinese Bandits ("D" specialists ).

Plus, the white unis are cooler in the Louisiana heat.

Unless they're not...

I think the temperature of fan vomit at night is about the same.

a long long time ago in a conference not too far away, teams used to wear white at home.

As mentioned above LSU did it, so did Ga Tech for years.........AU used to always wear blue against Tech.

For this weekend, Ole Miss is celebrating their 1960 MNC and are going to wear white throw-back uniforms to honor that team.

If you recall, Auburn did the same thing against Vandy in 2007 to honor the 1957 AP National Title Team.

White throw back jerseys, gray face masks, the whole shebang.

It shouldn't effect us one way or the other. What I don't like about it is that I'm getting the feeling that Ole Miss is treating this as the biggest game in history.....I watched a few interviews yesterday and there is the distinct aroma of very secret very concentrated Kool-Aid drinking going on over there this week.

I don't like that shit at all.

If you recall, Ole Miss was talking shit before the Bama game saying, "We know how to stop them.  We know what their weakness is..."  Fuck you. You're still Ole Miss no matter what happens.

Trap game, Iron Bowl, LSU, SECCG....whatever.  Doesn't matter.  When the ball is kicked off and they start knockin' the shit out of each other, none of it matters.  It's execution...and Cam's gonna' be executin' quite a few mofo's Saturday night.
