A man fired an automatic weapon on the sixth floor of the Perry-Castaneda Library early Tuesday, UT police spokeswoman Rhonda Weldon said.

"He subsequently shot himself. He is deceased," she said, adding that no one else was reported injured.

This once again proves my theory of the library being dangerous.  hence why I never spent much time there.

There is a bar/restaurant at Arizona State in Tempe called "The Library."

There is also a bar in Baton Rouge called The Library.  As in "Carl, I do NOT understand why you are barely passing all your engineering course!  Every time we try to reach you, someone says you are at The Library!"

The downtown Public Library in Mobile has turned into a homeless gathering place for soaking up free air conditioning.  Mobile passed a panhadling law last week I'm curious to see how well it is enforced.
