Title: What we know so far...
Post by: Townhallsavoy on September 14, 2010, 08:06:23 PM
- Alabama is really good again.

- Ohio State is good enough to appear really good again.

- Michigan will be a storyline for most of the season - at least until they lose one or two.

- Notre Dame is competitive again.

- Auburn has a dynamic quarterback and an improving defense.

- South Carolina has a royal flush with Lattimore, and they showed their hand very early.

- USC is noticeably weaker despite the Trojans claiming that Lane Kiffin and NCAA sanctions are nothing to worry about.

- Tennessee really is terrible and is relying on a young, inexperienced head coach to pull them out of the dumps.

- The Heisman Trophy is truly up for grabs, and it looks like the Big 10 will bring it home.

- Miami is poorly coached.

- Oklahoma is a rollercoaster.  If they can get up for the big games and play down to the cupcake games, they'll win the Big 12.

- Georgia is in a serious rebuilding year, and they really only have AJ Greene as a bonafide superstar.  Name a Georgia player on defense.  Quick.

- Oregon may go undefeated this year.

- LSU doesn't have a quarterback.

You are correct, Garcia will be forced to win games. SEC defenses will stack the line.

Umm.  A Royal Flush can't be beat.

Hypothetically speaking, of course, it doesn't matter when the royal flush hand is shown, it still can't be beat.

Good grief, you must be in an arguing mood. You know what I'm saying don't you?

I think.  You're saying that even though South Carolina has a royal flush that can't be beat, because they showed their hand early, they are going to have to use a pair of deuces (Garcia) to win games because SEC defenses are stupid and think if they stack the line, they can beat a royal flush, even though it's not possible.  Right?

We're talking wildcard poker.

The SEC defense could have a five dueces, and are fearing USCe's five face cards.

Ok, so do you think the USCe "royal flush" will beat bamas uno cards come Oct. 9th?

i wanted to write this on monday but the X was in maintenance mode.

acc teh suxxor...seriously, as a conference you couldn't have represented yourself @ least once in a big game...you had 4 chances.

losses from gt, virginia, miami, f$u and virginia tech (perhaps vt lost on purpose)

bc didn't look too impressive against kent state

the wf vs duke was a wtf

clemson...we'll find out this weekend.

the rest either had an off week or an irrelevant opponent.

Unless you think of it in the long term.

The next hand will be dealt, and South Carolina's previous royal flush may not appear so royal any more when the other players adjust accordingly.

Also, the odds of a royal flush occurring again is slim to none.

The only way to beat a Royal Flush is to Shoot The Moon.  That beats everything, right now SPuat is Shootin' The Moon.  There's ten more hands to be dealt, we'll see how long it'll be before they get one too many Sandbags.

- Alabama is really good again. Saban will be gone soon and the NCAA will be moving in town. Gadsden anyone?
