I predict that AU will start the season ranked 24th and will end the season in the top 10
Bama will start at #1 and will end up at #12 after 2 losses

I predict lots of predictions.

Better yet, give your breakdown and reasons for the predictions.
9 wins. Anywhere from 12th to 15th finish.
Offense: Best line in the SEC. However, a couple of injuries and there's nothing proven behind them. Have to stay healthy. I think they've known Newton was the real deal since day one. No, he hasn't proven squat in the SEC but in this offense, if he can pass 1/2 as good as Todd, sick numbers will be put up because of his running ability. If he gets nicked up, I think the Spring game showed us we have 2-3 very capable guys that will put us on par with Todd's performance. Best shape at QB as it's been in a long time.
Running backs are an unknown. Tate was a pure, solid RB and very reliable. Fannin has all the athletic ability in the world but he's played everything except water boy and while I think the guy is going to top 1000...he's still an anomoly. OMac is the same to me. I have no idea. When he was healthy, the guy was gone with a crease or if he hit the corner. However, he's still yet to break his first tackle at Auburn. I farted during the second quarter of the Miss. State game and he went down like Monica Lewinski. Dyer...tons of hype but not one carry in the SEC. I think the system makes our RB's excel as much as anything.
Receivers. Best unit we've had since Obewonkenobido and Aromuhammedmashmachmedodu. Zachary has the speed to stretch the field and Adams is the most solid, clutch pass catcher I've seen at AU in foevah. 12th year junior Quandravious Carr looks to be coming on and there's tons of solid reserves and hyped freshmen coming in.
Overall, this offense rewrites the record books at AU.
Defense. 27.5 points per game given up. No huge personnel changes from last year. Should be more depth with the incoming class but who can we really say will be able to step in? Whether it was depth...lack of talent...horrible schemes...whatever. The bottom line is they suxed. There's no way to sugarcoat it. I have zero faith in Coach Red Root until he shows me something...anything. Make all the excuses you want and spin the reasons why it was one of the worst defenses in AU history...the fact is..it was.
The tackling under Roof is a HUGE concern. The guys look like they're coached to try and block people off their feet rather than wrapping up. Ask the slow, little white boy from Northwestern how well AU tackles after he ran 80 yards through all 11 on the field, the kicker and 2 cheerleaders for 6. Chizik needs to be to Roof what Tuberville was to Muschamp. Take that shit over if you want to win.
Penalties lost the UK game and should/could have cost several more. AU had almost double the number and yardage in penalties as their opponents in 09'. And believe it or not, it wasn't all Ziemba.
For me, this season can be magical with the amount of talent we have on offense. But I'm realistic in expectations because there's a lot of shit that simply won't fix itself. I just don't think we can automatically claim improvement on last year without addressing 27.5 points per game, penalties out the wazoo and 147 fumbles on our punt return game. Improve even 30-35% in those areas and the Iron Bowl is for da marbles. If not, 9 wins will be generous.

The D does have Etheridge, Savage and McNeil back on the D.
