Haven’t we all—perhaps after a long night (alongside the munchies)—wondered if we see the same exact shade of color? Here is one way to test your skills, with X-Rite’s Color IQ Test.

What seems like an awfully simple task—arrange four rows of colors so that each shade is next to its proper neighbor—can become incredibly frustrating as you begin to doubt your own eyes and hue-sorting skills. The lower the score, the better (we were convinced we had finally completed this perfectly and still managed to get only a 12), and the site points out that a perfectly calibrated monitor might help. Good luck!

I always knew I had trouble distinguishing the darker greens, blues and blacks.

I got a 12, with zero being the best score possible.  Near perfect color acuity...  I only screwed up some of the orangy pinks...

I genuinely wonder if this is a male - female thing?  Women are more attuned to color?

A lower score is better, with ZERO being the perfect score. The bars above show the regions of the color spectrum where hue discrimination is low.

Based on your information, below is how your score compares to those of others with similar demographic information.

    * Your score: 0

For those less fortunate, this is what a perfect score looks like.
