Well...that was a HELL of a fight, a little bit of both. Carwin won the standup, Brock didn't want to fight Carwin in the standup after he stung him a couple of times. Carwin won the ground and pound, that elbow shot to Brock's jaw would've, more than likely, knocked out everyone else in MMA. But, the ground and pound from Carwin wasn't enough to stop the fight, which I'm glad the ref didn't step in because aside from the elbow shot and a few other punches, most of Carwin's shot weren't connecting. I figured the ref would've jumped right in and stop the fight, I'm thinking if it wasn't a title fight he would've. But, when they went to Carwin's corner after the 1st round, you could see that he had punched himself out. Then, Brock was able to take Carwin to the ground, get into the mount position, locked in the triangle choke, moved to the side mount with the triangle choke still locked in....then like a Python, started to squeeze Carwin's neck cutting off, the already depleted, oxygen from reaching Carwin's brain....causing Carwin to Tap Out before he blacked out. Damn, what a fight. Hell the whole PPV card was pretty dang good. Bonnar, with blood all over his face, finally won, over my guy Krystof.
