I have it confirmed through good authroity that Brandon Lafell did not request a 17th year of eligibility with LSU and was in fact drafted. 

Also, Dexter McCluster and Shay Hodge have signed with NFL teams as well.  At 37 and 38 years of age respectively, they both felt the need to move on to other endeavors and thought while enjoyable, 18 years of college at Ole Miss was enough.  10th year Redshirt Junior DE Greg Hardy followed suit.
